As someone that finds vikings to be overrated as warriors and all, these just feel cringe. That and why focus on just Odin? Why not use other figures in viking mythology like Thor or Loki. Also placing bets these "gamers" that are buggered by vikings is really just OAG and his circlejerk while the rest are more or less used as an excuse for some all-father cringe.
That's likely because Celts haven't been thrown into some sort of pop-cultural work of today. Vikings managed to get that with video games and TV shows. We've yet to see the Celts get any of that and by extension putting up with the autism of either SJW's, neo-nazis, and other spergs and tards.

Ah, the Cliff Notes version of Norse mythology and practice of Heathenry. Where you don't find out that just because the gods crossdressed once or twice doesn't mean it's okay for you to do so or that taking it up the ass is the ultimate form of cowardice. The last part is a great example of Norse tolerance. If you were accused of taking it up the ass, you were required by law to challenge the other guy to a duel. If you didn't, you were deemed a coward and legally subhuman.
They've already looted Celtic mythology for the bastardized bits of it that show in Wicca and have no need for the rest of it.
All the other Indo-European shit they don't care about except for Hinduism which they bastardize it and take the bits they like for weird New Age crap. And maybe Greek mythology too I guess.

I still don't get how Netflix is so popular with all this crap. I already knew better than to give them my money (relative gifted me netflix suscription and i tried), but after checkin gthe goods and seeing they were pushing the same shit in every episode of Black Mirror it irked me to the point i cannot unsee it. And when i watch trailers, i get the same feeling.
Thank god i have a crapload of pirated old movies and i smuggle some good foreign flicks from movie festival.
Nah, that doesn't matter. And when it comes to their boner for greek mythos and society it all comes from a terrible misconception (like everything they like). They constantly think that greeks were raging faggots that were openly gay when in reality the only ones that could be openly gay were the aristocracy (they thought theselves free beyond anything the commoners believed, and that led to a freedom of sexuality). If you were gay and a commoner, you better hide out or other commoners will gut you in some dark and dirty alley of the polis. And then there is the thing about many mythological figures and creatures being rapists which i think they would not like.
Norse Paganism had a ritual were they raped and ritualistically murdered women, I'm pretty sure the last thing that the all-father gives a shit about is bigotry.
This cements my belief that the majority of neo-pagans are just atheists that are still pissed at their parents for dragging them to church, but also don't want to have to deal with the nihilistic spiritual vacuum that comes with atheism.

What a fall from grace, White Wolf was. They were never perfect, but at least they had protagonists who could be justifiably evil. Now your character has to be part of an "oppressed" group, or they heavily discourage you from playing.

Both sides are making a mistake in relation to pre-christian norse, they really don't match weird neo-nazi volk shit or loverly liberal types. Homosexuality was punishable by death and their word for gender-queer is closer to faggot than anything, neither where they some sort of goose stepping volk reich. Like most medieval people they viewed themselves in terms of Family or personal loyalties, they genrally don't give a toss about race wars or the volk purity or some lord of rings defending the west shit from a political perspective they didnt even join the 'west' until they converted.
Same could be said of Christians when I think on it, pretty much any modern christian is immediatly in hot water for heresy in the 'west' no matter how puritan they thik they are.
That said their's no real unified dogma to norse religion so modern interpretations can play rough and loose with canon morality, worship Thor and suck as much dick as you like-just try not to be naive about who these guys where on a bad day
