Since we have a thread for Sound Arguments from MrEnter, I thought I'd make another, this time for Enterbots. Now, we all know how most of them go to great lengths to defend him, but their arguments can be... hit or miss, to say the least. What were some arguments they presented that were actually good?

To an outside observer, one could argue that the Kiwi Farms focus way too much on Enter and his little fandom.

Then you actually peruse the forums a lot more and realize that not only is documenting the lulzy antics of Internet lolcows basically the primary existence of this forum and how we amuse ourselves, but also that Enter's actually on the low end of documentation, as far as lolcows are concerned (I mean we have more on Jace than we do on Enter, and Jace was a :ruse:, albeit an extremely entertaining and well played one).

So, yes, the Enterbots who say that the Kiwis may have no life for focusing so much on Enter may have a point. However, given how most of them religiously defend Enter like he's the Second Coming of Cartoon Jesus and contribute to Growing Around at the fault of actively ignoring all criticism pointed at the show, Enter, and his views, this is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black.

That's... actually all I can say about the Enterbots that's positive. Most of them don't portray themselves very... positively.

Since an Entardbot wrote this - I not only feel very proud of myself to say that such a thing does not exist - but also that this white-knighting from the person responsible needs to end. NOW.

We laugh at people like this because they deserve to be laughed at - there is nothing to like about them, IMHO - except for the fact that we can laugh at them. Too bad without that... These are sad, sad people who need to grow up and get out of their comfort zones, already!

Farewell to this thread, BTW - for I know it will get locked.

Oh, yeah, responding to the thread is totally going to kill it!

ON-TOPIC: The point that Mr. Enter has the right to use Patreon is a sound one, especially since he's not forcing anyone to pay. Quoting illiniguy34 from his commentary on THE ANTI TBONE 2004: "It's not a scam when it (the AVGN movie) got made." Same goes for his Mars Needs Moms review, and others that will be eventually made.

He's making money off of copyrighted material, though. That's the problem.
Mr. Enter's reviews are likely to be considered fair use, thus he can make money, but no one is going to sue him, because it is a waste of time to go after a internet reviewer who will most likely win. And a work is not instantly fair use, until it is proven as such by a law court.

See here for some evidence supporting what I said. http://www.copylaw.com/new_articles/fairuse.html

The thing is, sure he's criticizing it, but at least 95% of most of his videos are footage taken from the show. Sometimes he even plays clips on their own, or even full scenes. If it's fair use, then he is really pushing the limit.

On a side note, admittedly, a lawsuit battle between MrEnter and a company like Viacom would be hilarious. If he sperged when his YouTube channel got taken down, he'd probably implode if he got sued.

It's fair use, but he's really blurring the line there. Most reviewers don't show the entire episode/movie, uncut, in their reviews. Even if the audio isn't present, you could still argue that there's too much of the intellectual property of the company in question. Compared to some other critics that dabble in the same material, such as the oft mentioned Nostalgia Critic, NC tends to edit the material or try to show some point whenever he shows movie footage and he doesn't show entire scenes or episodes in his work.

I know that hating on companies is the thing to do on YouTube and stuff, but most of the Kiwis here have a point in saying that Viacom isn't necessarily wrong in taking down Enter's work.

There a world of different of the AVGN making a movie and enter making money off copyrighted material you see the AVGN movie was not just 90 minutes of something someone else made it was all stuff he and the film crew made (save for short amount of game play of E.T at the end for 5 minutes which the name was legally changed to avoid getting sued).

One thing they seem to bring up a lot is how little the creators of TTG! care about the original series and its fans, and how it goes out of its way to pander to the "LCD", but not the original fans.

I happen to agree.

You know, the creator of the teen titans cartoon did not really seem to care a lot about being true to the comics or it fans ether and pander to children and you know what the problem with that, the same problem with teen titans go; Nothing, no problem it not important all just because you feel betrayed by a cartoon made for pre-teens is not the cartoon that you wanted.
