This has to be a parody but nothing will surprise me anymore. When I think of it, I would love to see a virtual reality world where all white people and attachments to European colonialism disappear and these people find themselves in charge and realize they don't have a fucking clue how the world works!

No, it's not only limited to a diminishing majority in the West, where Christianity is exploding in the third world, and will also point the finger at other religions, like Islam. American homophobia is most prevalent in black Christian communities, UK homophobia is most prevalent among 2nd/3rd gen Muslim immigrants, and for the rest of the world, anything that isn't a 1st world country is pretty much going to have some degree of homophobia rooted in Abrahamic religiousity.

I think a lot of them aren't, they just live in places that SocJus has colonized and now have to keep saying the right things or they'll be next.

I definitely feel like it’s that way in some college classes. If you are more conservative/libertarian compared to the teacher, it can cause problems. It’s easier to just let teachers like that believe you’re more politically aligned with them than to try and fight it. That said, not all college classes are like that, but there are enough out there that it would make some weary. I’m sure the same thing happens between more conservative teachers and liberal students, but it’s probably not as common.

The first thing you learn going into college is how to read the teacher's political inclinations, then keep your mouth shut and say what they expect you to say. You're there for the grades more than anything else, anyway.

If it were a colonial legacy, then the USA, Canada, NZ, and Australia would not be so accepting of it, being former colonial states. Ironically, same for much of South America but while they don't criminalize it down there, Latino's certainly don't look at LGBT folk with a smile and wave, that's for sure. It's almost as if culture plays a role.

And no, despite what those morons try to argue, Japan wasn't colonized by the US post-WWII, and regardless their attitudes towards racial minorities (see: Okinawa), lower classes (see: Burakumin) and homosexuality (just... in general) have been there for centuries before we delivered two nuclear care packages to their doorstep.

This shit drives me mad because it's always statistics with them, but every time they bring them out it's over issues that have the lowest rate. I'm not saying Covid does, but shit like gun violence and police brutality end up being so fucking miniscule compared to black on black crime, sugar rates or heart disease.
