I really can't stand NextDoor, wherein there are nanny-staters who state "rules are rules," and can't abide the fact that two mutually-consenting parties might agree to a business transaction in the form of a haircut, taking place in someone's home. Seriously. Pizza Hut. Its been keeping me out of the house and pulls me in 50 bucks a night on average, plus hourly. And unlike most places they also pay you for the miles you travel for Gas and put on your vehicle. Been walking away with about 1200 bucks every 2 weeks. About what I could have been making sitting on my ass collecting Stimulus money lets be fair, but more self respect. Way more money then being a cashier at Lowes. And unlike most everything else they are hiring.

I tend to take on a lot of these kinds of jobs besides my full time job because I like to have a decent nest egg. Shit like delivering newspapers and curiour work where you can just drive around and listen to podcasts for a couple hours a few times a week and make some extra cash. My phone has been ringing off the hook because they can't find people so they're calling old employees. In my province there are 10 active cases and have been no new cases for over a week. The unemployment rate is over 16%.

Canada introduced the CERB which pays people who lost their income due to Covid-19 $2,000 a month. You can make up to $1,000 a month an still qualify plus a lot of these jobs pay under the table. If you delivered newspapers and were on CERB for example, you could have a $2,800 monthly income and work like two hours a day, but people aren't doing it. The only conclusion I can come to is people are too scared to work. It's really something.

That or 30 years of propaganda have convinced people these jobs are "beneath" them and it would be better to import third world menials to do them. Works out for me I guess, even on a friday night my store is struggling to have even 3 drivers on hand for the massive rush. So I am often going out with two orders at a time, which can easily come out to 10 bucks in tips in the span of 30 minutes. Repeat that a second time, plus the hours and the gas money and that is 25+ dollars an hour during peak time on the weekend. Of course, everything is so out of whack it can happen on any day. I pulled in about 65 dollars on Wednesday over a 5 hour period.

I don’t believe you can ingest enough Vitamin D to even come close to your body’s generation of it by sunlight exposure. Get out! Be brave!

I don't doubt it's true or that it won't happen here eventually. It's not like that here yet though. We're the Mexico/Poland of Canada. The roofers in other provinces are from here.

It will happen anywhere as long as technology makes life too easy. Having a strong grip was a condition of survival before, now with OSHA’s 50lb requirement and other ergo faggotry, anybody can do a job. Until they can’t: Firemen and cops who don’t shoot suspects as a first recourse.
