Are there any journal articles that supposedly proclaim any benefits to circumcision? I thought that was primarily a religious thing.

People will still try to push the hygiene thing, which can be debunked by anyone who can spend an extra minute or so thoroughly washing their dick. Another angle the pro-circumcision crowd tries to push is that it can reduce births in developing nations, based on the fact that circumcisions are painful and make sex less fun, therefore people in 3rd world shitholes will be having a lot less sex or pumping out babies if they don't enjoy having sex.

I'm proudly uncut, so the whole idea of someone slicing off part of my manhood is just plain asinine. My parents even told me they chose not to have my circumcised as a baby because they considered it barbaric and antiquated, and that they cared for the sake of future sex life as an adult. I thank them for that.

Yep. I've dated a girl whose parents were trashy and uneducated, and the mom was pregnant and gave birth while I was with my GF. She chose to have the son circumcised, and when I asked her why, she looked at me like an idiot and said, "Ew, why wouldn't I remove the foreskin? That's gross! You're supposed to cut it off to make it look like a regular penis!"

A lot of people seriously believe foreskins are tantamount to umbilical cords, in that it's just something you're supposed to remove by default at birth. American doctors still push that fucking bullshit based on outdated teachings from Dr. Kellogg.

I do think that there is room for anti stone toss edits out there. The issue I have always seen is that they end up having no fucking bite, or are so wordy as to be shit. I think I have only seen one good antifa stonetoss meme.

Short simple and to the point. That said not all that political.

The only good political based ones that would shit on stuff stone toss believe or are adjacent beliefs are like the below image. Short, simple, relying on juxtaposition, and a thing many on the far right like to ignore or act like doesn't exist.

The issue is that the below image is from some guy on the right punching right. If antifa stone toss were smart they would do more like the below. But they won't because it would be punching too hard and implying meanie things about trannies. They could make shit of this caliber, and if they were too then maybe they would have a better overall meme game.

But they can't because of meme insecurity (ie having to use a fuck load of words to explain everything to be sure you understand it the correct™ way), and pulling their punches to not appear too mean.

To punch hard, you need to punch with the truth. If you know the truth of the current situation, it's hard to be a leftie. You need to isolate yourself from the majority of lefties (kinda like Jimmy Dore tried) and try to pull them somewhere else. But then you have a new problem. When on any of the umpteen points of disagreement will get you harassed and unfriended. You have to play ball with a good number of topics where diversity of thought is not tolerated. Being unfriended is not a big deal when you've got a politically diverse friendgroup, but when you're as deep in as being in antifa it usually means losing your entire friend network. It's like being excommunicated as a jehova's witness.

The right had the same problem for years, but the heavy and varied censorship on the right has loosened it up and made people very open to teaming up with very different political views, which requires of each to also be able to enjoy a laugh at their own expense.

It's a hygiene thing in hot climates going back to an era where there wasn't enough clean water available to wash regularly. That's why you see it being fairly common throughout the Middle East and Africa. The Egyptians regularly practiced circumcision for the same reasons,. I wouldn't be surprised if teh jooz took it as a religious symbol probably because a lot of their rivals (probably Greeks and Romans) didn't, and they needed to use it as an identifying symbol of their unique status.

The most interesting place I've seen it brought up is in the graphic novel "Even a Money Can Draw Manga!" where the primary argument from a medical standpoint is circumcision lowers your risk of phimosis. It's now the reason I know and remember that word.

The vast majority of people don't get that, though, and if they do, it can be easily rectified anyway. Considering it is useless to the vast majority of people, and can have extravagant, albeit rare consequences when botched, the general balance of harms doesn't seem to favor having it as a universal practice.

I remember diving into those studies. Most of em are a good laugh if you're bored.

They're mostly done in Africa under dubious circumstances. In one they gave condoms to the circumcised group and taught them how to use them and not to the non-circumcised group and used that to prove that circumcision reduces STD transmission. In another they gave condoms to both groups, asked them two months later if they liked sex, 97% of both groups said yes, and used that to claim there is no sensation difference between being circumcised or not
