As far as I know Ethan badmouthed a project Tim, Brett R Smith and Chuck Dixon were working on (Trump Space Force), this began the "transcript division" in which Ethan was confronted by several people during a livestream which included Capn Cummings, Tim Lim, Brett R Smith and Doug Ernst. Things were rocky between the two since that incident but when Lim pulled out of Cash Grab, things escalated since CG viewed this as a betrayal of Cecil.

As for Doug as I understand it, Doug didn't thank Ethan on a panel at a con over crowdfunding and got pissy at Doug. When Doug left CG, Ethan actually wished him well, you can go back further in this thread and see the posts.

Can we officially cancel Comicsgate now? Like wtf. This is seriously becoming more and more appetizing for Jim to actually want to cover. On the one hand you have the crazy gay-baiting WC/EVS club complimented with the likes of someone that destroyed his his own mail box to sell his crappy comic. On the other hand you have some ex...or current...who knows... porn star turned comic book writer/publisher vying to trademark CG just to own WC/EVS. How much more absurd can this crap get before it bottoms out?

At this point viewing the trash fire from all angles is the entertainment, grab a seat and warm your hands by the fire.
