There's something so surrealistically hilarious about One Angry Gamer. The name itself just makes me think of an old, late 2000s/early 2010s YouTube game reviewer who would talk about how some NES game "sucks donkey dick out of a gorilla's asshole", so whenever I see one of his articles posted about how there's a black man in a video game or whatever I just picture and hear one of those old school YT reviewers.

Uppers was actually a decent handheld game developed by Bullets, the studio behind Kenka Bacho (beat'em up games starring yankees and other japanese delinquents which started first on PS2 and later on PSP) and Takaki was just the producer. I believe the problem of the poor sales were the fault of Marvelous and especially Takaki being just unable to market games that don't focus on catfights and gratuitous fanservice. I may recall the otaku scene in japan was also upset that Takaki dared to promote a game focusing solely on strong guys in high testosterone instead of busty girls like Senran Kagura.
It was supposed to be ported on PC and PS4 for the West in late 2018 but there are no signs of development since then, even if the team in charge claimed it's still underway somehow when previously asked of its whereabouts.
Uppers was also the last spiritual successor of Kenka Bacho as Spike Chunsoft (which acquired the licence after the merge of the two companies) turned it into a serie of otome visual novels
That or someone from Okinawa, who are just japanese locals with a darker shade of skin.

Billy used to be pretty cool, what with his articles bringing attention to censored videogames or giving coverage to obscure weeb titles that get no coverage elsewhere, especially VNs and eroge.
On the other hand, Billy has gotten intolerable over the past eight months or so. He repeatedly bitches and whines about black or lesbian characters being featured in a game as if it having them is the original sin, and he repeatedly puts up political articles that don't have anything to do with videogames. I swear, it's one thing to have a different political opinion from SJWs, but it's a whole different thing to have this mentality that the solution to dealing with far-left political bitching is by responding with far-right political bitching.

He's not wrong about IDW being shit now. Besides TMNT most of their books are subpar and sell about as well, plus they've been bleeding money for years from their poor decisions. Not too get too off topic, but I want to point out Aubrey Sitterson was kept around to write G.I. Joe after he decided to publicly shame people for mourning 9/11 if they didn't have a direct connection to the event. This decimated the sales because surprise, most G.I. Joe fans are very pro-America and that kind of talk don't sit well with them. The next G.I. Joe book they tried to put him on immediately died because hardcore fans refused to deal with him.

A lot of people blew up about this, and as a fan of that movie I do have to wonder: intentional attempt at sneaking in an edit or unfortunate glitch? It could be a coincidence, but that jump cut was concentrated in a place the usual suspects have been noted complaining about (tiddies on attractive adult real women.) As usual, this might have some other explanation.
