However, it's honestly interesting looking back at an account like this. It's a time capsule that makes you realize just how different the fanbase used to be. I hate both eras equally, though.

The current state of the fanbase is bad, but at least we don't get very many horrific crossovers and unprofessional MMD renders anymore.

probably might be some mass hysteria conspiracy theory bull shit but i've heard rumors they're gonna get rid of most of the mature content on there just like tumblr did with theirs. Don't trust my word on this one though as we haven't heard much from DA on the matter.

I'm sure there's apps to draw on tablets and phones too but I figured it's more comfortable to draw a on laptop. For me at least that's true.

It's probably still going to be around as while people will leave the site or proclaim too, I doubt many will due to no viable alternatives and people would get used to it.

The fact that people were boycotting the change and they still went through with it should tell you what the dA staff thinks if its userbase.

Well, I'll say this, the new interface is at least very light on computer needs. I don't know what it was about the old one but having a bunch of DA windows open always used to make me lag like fuck. Now everything is snappy. If only it wasn't so ugly and annoying (increasing images to normal size hides all the comments? Bleh, don't steal that "feature" from pixiv, come on.)
