This wasn't so much a debate as it was Preston walking "Dark Gift Comics" aka Anthony Romano aka "Skinny Micah" through basic grammar and introduction to the correct application of deductive logic and categorization. Dark Gift opens with the argument that he calls people like TUG and WC cucks and gay, while in fact it is he who is a cuck and is gay. Et tu, Preston? Quid pro quo, Pocket Jacks. Checkmate. Preston's rebuttal is that what he does doesn't change the basic facts about both of his contentions about cuckery and homoeroticism about the two respective parties.

Dark Gift's counterargument regarding the substance of the accusations is that while he doesn't deny all the anus/penis/sodomy fixation of WC's public behavior, he refuses to classify it as homoerotic and insists it is exempted by falling under 'homoerotic humor'. Also, Dark Gift has talked to members of WC that did not talk about penises or sodomy, therefore any descriptions of gayness applied to WC as a whole were therefore false. The conversation drifts from accusations of Preston's hypocrisy into more of an examination of what a mongoloid Dark Gift is.

Eventually, the argument is distilled to Dark Gift saying that Preston's presentation of TUG and WC's behavior in a derogatory context makes him a hypocrite. Interestingly, Preston actually withholds the obvious killshot that TUG and WC make derogatory attacks based on cuckery and homosexuality all the time, so objecting having it done to them in turn makes Dark Gift the hypocrite in all this. Instead he corners Dark Gift on Frog's response to Preston's criticism, forcing to Dark Gift to deny even the knowledge of Frog's public double-dildo crucifixion of Preston rather than attempt to defend it hmself, following this by, with the use of the syllogism, having Dark Gift admit that his entire lens for ethical conduct regarding the use degrading homoerotic-based harassment is based on identity politics. Dark Gift says something about "just memes" which results in Preston getting mad at Dark Gift presenting a provocation tactic as a legitimate argument and booting him from the stream.

Overall I would say was a technically poor but philosophically adequate examination of a typical, normally unnoticed Comicsgate Sophist like Dark Gift.

Overall I would say was a technically poor but philosophically adequate examination of a typical, normally unnoticed Comicsgate Sophist like Dark Gift.

I think Dark Gift is a cypher. He doesn't have any fully formed thoughts of his own to speak of and just generally repeats back EVS or WC talking points back to people as though they were his own thoughts. This of course leaves him completely incapable of defense or debate in a situation like this stream because he has never to that point actually given any critical thought to the subject matter.

He wasn't totally wrong about the hypocrisy of a cuck deriding others as a cuck. Had I been Preston I would have countered with a question to the effect of "would you consider saying that you are against doxxing others while defending the motives of a doxxer as self defense without evidence hypocritical?"

All in all though it was a funny "debate" to watch.

Yeah I just read Olympus. Felt like a slapped together movie script rather than a comic story. The artist just lifted the cyclops design straight from Harryhausen. Not quality in the least.

Who cares if the Art is lifted? the Story, well, you cant expect much from Geoff Johns, he was never realy good and got hit on the head by something realy heavy years ago. Its not a movie script either, makes waaay to much sense for a movie with Johns involvement.

I checked out Olympus and it was a serviceable story and concept (not original) with very good art. So it's a step above 95% of what's out there these days. Better than 98% of what CG offers.

Ethan should have asked Johns to ghost write the frog book. Then it might have been coherent.

Because compared to anime/manga, comics have a lot of disadvantages against it in modern day. You're more likely to find people worldwide who know some type of anime or manga as compared to comics. Manga is relatively available to find online for years due to fan translations and online exposure. And their digitals are much more affordable than their Western counterpart.

When her thread was created it was for being a conspiratard and MAGAsperg.

It’s ridiculous to me that Mitch apparently didn’t even attempt to work out something where backers at least got the physical version of the first issue shipped to them as part of the campaign.

Considering that he’s been talking up how backers should be getting the full version extremely soon and before all three chapters get released to stores, there could even be a sort of guarantee where “If we can’t get the full book out by the time the second is out, you get that too.”

Of course, they just wanted the money over anything else, so it’s never going to happen like that. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the full story releases before the crowdfunded hardcover does.
