This more than anything else is what confuses me about the people who honestly give him money. He so clearly has no joy in anything he does on stream, and there are so many people on Twitch who make two bucks doing this but are so passionate about streaming. Why not support them?

When you take out the people with mental illnesses, what's left of DSP fans are all contrarians, like Straight Cuck Homie. They have fun knowing that they're supporting a person that is way more hated than loved.

Phil being a trash person would normally make a normal person want to stop supporting him. But these people support him because he's toxic.

I doubt many people actually believe in Phil's narrative that he's a victim. The bankruptcy showed to the world that Phil's problems come from himself. No one made him max out more than a dozen credit cards.

So yeah, as long as there are people who feel like they're "trolling the trolls" by supporting Phil, I doubt Phil will ever stop receiving financial aid from these people. The best we can hope for is that Phil becomes so utterly uninteresting that people's hatred turns into indifference, and then the contrarians won't feel that happy when helping Phil, since there'll be no one to complain about how unfair that is.

Because it’s a toxic relationship. Most of his fans are weirdos and outcasts. All they want is a place to feel accepted and have a friend. All they have to do is constantly give him money and he acts like he kind of their friend.

Think of Papavera. He is a 42 year old autistic MLP fan with no job and so desperate for affection that he begs girls for cuddles. As long as he pays Phil for the privilege of making guides for him and telling him what to do Phil will pretend to be interested in him and he gets to be the big man on campus in chat. Phil really is a male thot whoring out friendship.

One thing that stood out to me in the Modern Warfare 2 stream last night. Phil didn't participate in the civilian shooting during the No Russian segment, probably because he wants to appear like a mature grownup, as doing an over the top "Kill all the civillians! HAHAHA!" bit would be a very 2010s Phil playing a character thing to do. But then, in the next mission, there's a part where a dog barks at you from behind a chain link fence. Phil quickly shoots it (even though it's a background element that poses no threat) and deadpans "shut up." Then he tries to put a band-aid on it by saying "That was fucked up, wasn't it?" and claiming the barking was ruining his concentration.

If you’ve ever watched his Red Dead Redemption 2 play though then you’ve fucking seen what he’s really like. The play through was in 2018 and he was fucking awful and obnoxious the entire time. I only watched the TIHYDP of it bc he grates on my nerves, (the Outsyder has 1 but the -surprisingly- longer and more in-depth one is from a fella named Sufyan Aljamal, I’ll link them below), but he took every opportunity to harass, kill, beat, rob, and threaten that he could even if it meant failing a mission (which he often did due to his weird cruelty and inability to follow the simplest of directions). Watching the videos kinda made me look at him a little different tbh. He’s a dick but this was outright “going out of his way and inconveniencing himself, making shit harder” cruelty.

@mollymawk That pre-stream is still monitized and plays ads. On my browser video embeds on Kiwi Farms still show the yellow ad break indicators on the progress bar once you hit play. It has 5 ad breaks as an ad will play at the start of the video as well. Also I'm fairly sure Null has an ad block installed for video embeds to the site, never seen an ad play on a Kiwi Farms video embed. Unless the King of Semantics is going to pretend him talking about YouTube drama for an hour instead of self-promoting his own content = 'I cut out all the advertisement to do so' he's just lying.
