Sheila's information has already been "doxed" in her thread. Mr. McCheese also talked about it on a livestream beforehand. I hardly think this is an equivalent argument here, considering TUG detailed the process on Liam's stream on how to dox Vikki, the dox showing up by an account that folks here have already called out on being a WC member, and TUG is WC. I think it's highly unproductive to paint a hypocrite out of Vikki. Those of us who were observing when she got doxed (and, they got the wrong sister) all saw it as what it was.

I think it's still possible to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to CG. I don't know how many of Ethan's backers aren't WC or hardcore twitter spazzes, but he did have ~25 years in the business, so there's gotta be some name recognition. Are all 7,400 backers of his new book WC spergs? Tough to say. If only 5% are normies/regular fans, that's over 350 people who may just be completists, or fans of the character, or his art, etc. Someone like Senor Of The Rice gets about 200 backers? Maybe? Probably all of them are about sticking it to Ethan, making a statement loyalty to their "tribe". The majority of EVSCG projects by nobodies--Vestige, Wart the Wizard, Littlest Umbrella, etc--are only getting big bucks because of EVS' livestreams. That can't last forever.

When the dust settles, Ethan will still have customers, probably YBZ, Fraga, guys like Mike Baron, Chuck Dixon, Graham Nolan are still gonna have fans. There are very few new "stars" coming out of CG--maybe Rob Willis? Alfeche is just ok--but 90% of anything is crap, right?

The big difference there I suspect is that books and games are healthier industries, and far larger ones too. The consumer movements as a whole do not leech into the industry itself, at best creating and showing a new path to profit that doesn't involve listening to bot ridden twitter. Both also take more time as a whole, let's be honest, you can bang out a floppy in a month and it's been done since most of the current CG crowd were swimming in pappy's ballsack.

What you're seeing now is what happens when these consumer movements win and the self-proclaimed leaders can carve out a full on part of the plate rather than a personal fiefdom on the outside I suspect.
