Too many gamers are too cynical and absurdly hard to please, a game basically has to be absolute perfection to please some gamers otherwise it's shit, there's no middle ground.
It's basically an extreme bias against new games, for these kind of gamers if a game is new, it's shit, it's never as good as games used to be, it's serious rose colored glasses.
I think there's mainly two groups of these kind of cynical gamers, those that are stuck in the 8 bit and 16 bit console eras and those are stuck in the late 90s and early 2000s PC gaming scene.
I love both of those eras of games as well but you have to accept that things change and one shouldn't let nostalgia make you unable to appreciate the present.
I just don't understand calling yourself a gamer and making it your number 1 hobby but hating most of what you play, why are you wasting your time and money?
I'm not saying you should like everything that's out there, sometimes there are perfectly valid criticisms to make of something, but I just don't understand that extreme cynicism you see, where some gamers begrudgingly admit a game is good as if they'd rather complain and hate that they can't complain much. I just don't understand that at all.
When it comes to gamers in general, whether it's the cynics or the ResetERA type SJWs everyone needs to lighten the fuck up and learn how to have fun again.
