This is where you're way off base. Lots of the people you now think of as anti-CG are supporters of Meyer, who've chipped-in for his legal costs, but have had to sever ties with CG because of the way CG was taken over and turned into the EVS and Pals fan club and WC Larping society.

I don't fault Zack for ghosting Comicsgate. I do fault him for producing 20 page leaflets like Pandemic for $25 dollars and crediting that success on the merit of his craft and his ideas and not the backing of a movement he refuses to acknowledge, let alone contribute to. At some point Zack's CG principle of "don't anger the customer" has overridden every other principle he once held, doesn't advocate for what he believes in anymore and has ceded all responsibility regarding Comicsgate on Frog's shoulders. If any of you want to contact Meyer, I'd suggest subscribing to Comic Book News with Dan Shahin where he spends his days in the chat a-logging and seething at the comic book shop retailers and publishers that he is in fact a real big boy publisher now and they should acknowledge this.

Meyer isn't a failure. He's living his dream as far as I can tell and good for him. I can respect him stepping away from all the drama, most of which he had a hand in starting. It show's a level of maturity that isn't apparent on his videos. Richard isn't a failure but he is a bit of a cow. He had an opportunity to promote himself and Jawbreakers on the worlds biggest podcast to an audience that leans in his direction with regards to SJWs and he let it slip away. He did not let slip away an opportunity to be interviewed by Jim Jeffries, a liberal hack comedian with a reputation for fucking over guests that Richard could have known about if he bothered to do 15 minutes of research. Richard walked into a wood chipper looking for a comfortable place to sit. Jeffries fucked him over and pushed in his stool in front of a national audience. Also Richard's clearly OCD and a bit of a sperg so that adds to it and who goes on TV to defend himself with a haircut like that. Did his daughter cut his hair?

Regardless, Richard is a bit of a cow but aside from a few silly fuck ups there isn't a great deal to laugh about and I mostly like the guy so why bother?

I wouldn't call Meyer a failure but at the moment he appears to be on a downward slide, his campaigns are making less money and generating less backers each time. The Expendables was a massive IP that underperformed in everyone's eyes and had some big collaborative names attached to it eg: Sly Stallone, Chuck Dixon, Graham Nolan, Dave Dorman, Butch Guice.

Richard also seems to have gotten lazy with his campaigns, he promotes them less and engages less with his audience via social media and livestreams. His more recent campaigns have gotten real sloppy, he no longer includes page counts in the description (eg: Pandemic, Expendables, Grand Bizarre) he also isn't being as generous with stretch goals (Grand Bizarre had one, Expendables didn't have any until the last days of the campaign). His first Jawbreakers campaign by comparison was extremely well executed compared to his latest campaigns, somehow he has gotten worse at crowdfunding instead of better with experience.

He also contradicts himself in terms of customer service. He claims his selling hotdogs, yet his customers ask for digital and he refuses. His international customers ask for Pandemic to be an add-on with Jawbreakers since international shipping costs more than the comic, he refuses. Books arrived damaged internationally and they ask for Gemini mailers instead of bubble mailers, he agree's but charges an EXTRA $10 for a .50c mailer.

His lack of conviction for standing up for Sashi during Gobblegate was spineless but I can still admire him for continuing to hire her, so I won't punish him too much for that. His lawsuit with Waid seems like it's going nowhere and currently Waid and Antarctic are both disputing his claims of TI, so it's not going to end well IMO, but I can understand why he felt the need to follow through with it. Allowing Ethan to subvert what was essentially a movement based on his guiding principles was weak but again I can't blame him for rejecting the CG label or a leadership role within it.

I still like Zack and wish him the best, his certainly not a failure but it does feel like his slipping away. I won't dedicate my time to a-logging him in this thread or others though, his still our boi.

To my mind, the guy showed bravery in Iraq that most keyboard warriors never have, and he showed intelligence in excess of most CG personalites by getting out out of CG (even if people want to argue that last one doesn't count for much since he started the ball rolling on the autism on display).

Nor am I arguing his service means he gets a pass for anything autistic he may ever do in the future.
