ANTIFA / Antifascist Action / Antifaschistische Aktion - The anti-fascist gang with fascist tendencies

Double-posting, because this clown has suddenly started showing up in my timeline -

Do you think this clown understands that all their communist paradises jail people for trying to escape, or for consuming "unapproved media"? I honestly think that people like this forget that Obama was essentially "nigga Clinton", continuing the same policies that were created under Bill, but these are also people so god awful stupid that they'll respond to criticism of their favorite Communist regimes with "Not really communism, because the party didn't dissolve after the revolution!", despite their utopia requiring an apparatus to effect the "will of the people", which means a hierarchy must exist to prioritize the "needs of the people", so we aren't making shoes instead of growing potatoes, or some equally exceptional shit.

No, these people don't. Ironically, if these fools really understood the basis of capitalism and socialism/communism, they all overlap on a key point they really don't like.

All three expect people to work for their reward. How it's apportioned is different, but all three models of thought do not have "free stuff for nothing" clause built in.

Then again, given how their knowledge of actual fascism is so poor they don't realize they've unironically argued for many things fascists actually did under the delusion it will combat fascism, it should be no surprise how amazingly ignorant they are.

If I don't keep asking these rhetorical questions with the hope that some of these assholes would not prove themselves to be so aggressively and willfully ignorant, I actually start to feel cynical as hell about the future of the species. And then I remember that these are exactly the people that will argue that I should read more Marx, while not having the faintest clue that Marx was very clear about everyone having to pull their weight, in his envisioned utopia.

In The Righteous Mind, Johnathan Haidt claims that both liberals and conservatives consider fairness to be a central tenet of their ideologies - but have different conceptions of what "fairness" means. The first kind of fairness, more prevalent among liberals, centers around equality and the idea that everyone should be able to live with a certain level of dignity; this translates to support for UBI, universal healthcare, and the like. The second kind of fairness, more prevalent among conservatives, centers around the idea that the successful shouldn't be burdened by the lazy; this translates to outrage at high taxes and welfare queens.

The working-class socialist left used to appeal to both kinds of fairness, demanding workers' rights while also expressing outrage at the capitalist class, who they considered to be greedy and parasitic. Consider the third stanza of "Solidarity Forever":

Is there aught we hold in common with the greedy parasite,
Who would lash us into serfdom and would crush us with his might?
Is there anything left to us but to organize and fight?
For the union makes us strong.

Today's left has lost that edge. It appeals only to the first kind of fairness, and leans really hard into it. And when you lean really hard into the first kind, you're going to end up with useless layabouts and honest-to-god parasites.

Not 100% sure who this account is, but they were apparently doxxing people, and considering that anyone that disagrees with AntiFa is automatically a notzee, it's fairly certain that they weren't actually stopping any fascists -

I went to a protest with antifas once. The girl I was dating at the time was mildly heavy into that scene. (She‘s extremely tiny, so idk how she would last more than a few seconds in a tussle with Natzees; I never asked). It was a protest on a street corner in East [CITY] near a supermarket. Now, [CITY] is one of the most segregated cities, economically and racially, in the country. Once you are well east of the interstate, you are solidly in the part where nonwypipo live. So bougie Antifas, mostly students at [University in City], rolling up was, for all their “we protect the community” jazz, pretty hilarious considering it was clearly NOT their community at all.

The protest was generally anti-Trump themed and led by some local Mexicams who were decidedly less radical than the antifas. Obviously the Antifas wanted to go full sperg like they do but apparently a previous protest where they got way out of hand with the direct action had sullied their reputation with the locals. The woman in charge of the whole thing flatly told us that anti-police rhetoric would not be allowed. Telling Antifas they can’t say ACAB is like telling a fish to stay away from water, but of course, being a Woman Of Color actually from the poorer, POCer community of extremely segregated [CITY], the progressive stack (and, you know, basic manners) made us stuff it.

So we yelled anti-Trump things at passing cars and got some of them to honk at signs with similarly themed messages. The whole thing was about as radical as a DNC convention. It wasn’t exactly a failure, I suppose, but it also obviously didn’t accomplish anything but making us feel marginally more powerful. (Not that breaking bank windows doesn’t produce the same effect.)

I distinctly remember sitting on the grass docilely with my GF and a couple others eating candy the Mexicams had given us, comparing the moment to our fiery rhetoric on the drive over, and thinking “Damn, we’re just kids, aren't we?” And I was right.

Was the pussy game worth it?

The believers in Fully Automated Space Communism think that sitting on a computer 19 hours of the day pretending to work on their trans furry artwork would be enough to satisfy the requirements of the state. I have seen more than one tumblr communist make the argument straight-faced that capitalism kills art. Whether you think that to be true or not, they equate themselves with the sculptors and muralists of the USSR and genuinely think that just because they call themselves artists that the Worker's Party would not immediately pressgang them into the wheat fields.

I'd say this is a somewhat uncharitable interpretation of what he said. IIRC he wrote that conservatives believed that you should get as much as you put in (in terms of skill, talent, work, etc), so they would support something like a flat 15% income tax rate, but if you were born talentless or all your kids turned out severely disabled then sucks to be you, no special help. Lefties cared more about everyone getting an equal share, which in practice used to mean a progressive tax rate and welfare for the truly needy, but it's turned into equal share for lazy assholes recently.

They also think they'll have full artistic freedom. The fools.

Even if they don't end up stuck in the fields or the factories and manage to become artists, they'll either be drawing the specific style the government wants them to draw and doing "what they want" in private in their spare time and trying to get it out in underground 'zines, or they can try being avant-garde in public and get KGB'd for their trouble. It's amazing how people who claim to be well-educated haven't done the minimal amount of reading on the systems they're worshipping.

How does capitalism kill art that makes no sense at all

Yeah, it was definitely uncharitable; I was focusing more on the negative side of their conception of fairness, to give an example of what the modern left lacked.

While also arguing those who have FAILED to live up to lefty standards DON'T GET A SHARE AT ALL.

Easy. Capitalism kills art because it's not their shitty furry art selling for $6000. It's someone else's. Sour grapes, anyone?

Except capitalism hugely rewards really shitty art that is popular among garbage people willing to overpay for low quality shit so long as it fits into their weird, shit-tier fetish (which is often literally shit). Furries should fucking love capitalism.

Under Communism, degenerate Western art is forbidden and you have to produce art with strict ideological boundaries on what you are allowed to create, and woe be to you if 10 years ago, your art promoting the state is now an ideology they have rescinded.

Just ask Shostakovich.

Or Gorky, who instead preferred to be a lapdog for the party rather than continue making actual art.
