Here's hoping the Atlantic Monthly goes under!

Kimmel once again takes a potshot at Trump, this time for him golfing during these times.

'The president is golfing instead of [whatever]' are the most generic jokes you can make about any president. How lame can Kimmel be?

Isn't that fake murder story based off of that one Dem senator or whatever who murdered his pregnant staffer?

You can't just come in here and calm down the doomers. Is it not enough to stop the coronavirus doomers? If you keep it up, they'll turn into voomers.

Didn't the Guy Ritchie Sherlock movie come out before Iron Man? But then again, it's unlikely kids would have seen it, so the point still works.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was the RDJ revival film, imo.

'diarists' - oh fuck off, you smarmy snob. "Nuff said"? really? What kind of faggy soy-basted bullsh... oh Daily Kos.

If Biden wins and there is enough Democrat strength in congress, I suspect KF to be given the 8ch treatment.

The only good thing about that Ghostbusters movie that it led to that asshat Yiannopolis getting kicked off Twatter.

A little aside about mail in ballots...

Just like MConnel's warning about the SC that quickly bit the Democrats in the ass, I don't think they see the unintended consequences here. In the long term, I could see voter fraud being perpetrated to fuck them as much as help them. How many poor fuckers renting some shithole will have their living situation threatened if they don't give their landlord their ballots, or some college kids renting a floor in a house from some guy who simply takes their ballots and votes for Republicans when they are at their troonology class or serving grande lattes somewhere? Or Shaniqua holding down some shitty waitressing job with three kids getting pressured by her boss to turn over her ballot (hinted at only, of course) or she's unemployed and fucked?

It would work both ways, with D or R in a position to abuse it, but the real losers would be the voting poor and the vulnerable.

It's less likely from Republican voters abusing it, I'd guess, since there is generally a bit more respect for the rule of law, but push this a few years when the perception is that the entire thing is fixed, and I doubt it would stay that way.

What you are describing isn't unintended consequences for the leaders of the uniparty. They look at south american dystopias and they don't see completely ass-backwards hells where most of the population lives in violence-torn slums right beside wealthy old-money families in barb-wired enclaves guarded by very literal machine toting private armies and using their connections to parasite off the system, they see glorious utopias where the people in power remain in power for life with very little in the way of real challenge and the proles are too disorganized and ingrained in voting for their lizard to actually bother trying to do something that might result in a positive change.
Not that just voting for a different person is likely to result in any positive difference, since for anyone to get close to metropolitan, let alone national, politics they are already so completely and hopelessly compromised they will be just more of the same.

Some of my favorite Trump tweets are when he taunts the media for losing their jobs, like this one from last year. The 'many others will follow,' that's The Atlantic.

Something can be completely true, but it can also be misleading. I'm just waiting for this to start making the rounds, likely attached to some smoothbrain conspiracy that Trump is using the virus to kill Democrats.
Why is Pew promoting conspiracy theories, and why hasn't Twitter censored this?

If you look closely enough, you can pinpoint the exact moment where Democratic leaders realized “Gee, maybe sticking corona patients in nursing homes is a terrible idea.”

This reminds me of something that used to happen in World of Warcraft all the time.

"I was Top DPS, I deserve that piece of gear*
*Usually someone died 15 seconds into a boss fight, and as such died with all the damage boosts that happen int he first 30 seconds of a fight active so the DPS Meter showed them as highest*

More like "Time to move on to the next phase of the plan where after deliberately ratcheting up our death rates, we stop so that our death rate drops from the previous highs and our loyal journodogs use this to make the flyovers look bad."

That would require an awful lot of coordination. Are >20% of Americans card-carrying hardcore partisans who go out of their way to push the envelope for their guy by any means available to them? Or is this a case of some political appointee at the top seeing the real numbers and saying "I'll just multiply this by a bias factor and hope nobody asks any tough questions..."?

Accorrding to a Know Your Meme user, "Trump has cultivated the image that control and violent rebellion are exactly what liberals want, so actually attempting to overthrow the system and remove him would garner no support because it would be fulfilling the exact same boogeyman image he's been blabbering about. This is why power of the press is important, because we're in a position where a decent chunk of the country already thinks liberals are liars, manipulators and conspirators, and they also happen to be the part of the populace with a hell of a lot of firearms. Pushing back against Trump's constant lying and distortion of reality is the most important thing they can do, whether they want a revolution or not."

So apparently, according to them, the press is important in keeping Trump down, if I'm getting this correctly.

The best part about that graph is that despite the drop in Dem deaths, it's still over twice as high as the Republican peak.

Now, back to the topic of the thread. What did Trump do this time to warrant all this salt?

~44% approval rates is clearly "dropping so fast", even when it's higher than the average from years before. Even his current disapproval rate is on par, if not lower, than it was a few years go.
