(Gonna get a bit spergy, I'm new and still learning this place.) In the 90s, Americans began adopting Russian and Ukrainian babies en masse. RU/UK were able to give unwanted children a loving home and ease some of the financial burden of caring for these kids on broke countries, Americans got white babies and could bypass the lengthy, extremely expensive adoption processes in the States. Win-win for everybody?

Not really. Kids were spending their formative years in orphanages that were hell on earth, and a lot of them were sickly and/or had serious behavioral issues. You know, the kind of kids that'll be parasites of the state when they grow up to be alcoholic criminals. They were so bad, some families actually ended up returning their kids because they were so out-of-control. They probably grew up to die of Krokodil decay.

Nik was one of these kids. So combine all that with an already shitty, annoying personality and boom, you get our sweet Avocado, as he is today.
