I'll admit there are similarities but I can't get past the fact that the positioning of the eyebrows on the face is drastically different between skirt girl and Marie.

Couple of things with the skirt pic. It was that era where chicks all plucked their eyebrows pencil thin and ended up looking constantly surprised because of it and also I think she is attempting a seductive face by raising her brows as well. If you compare her eyebrows to the pics of marie they do follow the same basic shape. I know more than a few women who look completely different from their jersey shore days just cause they let their eyebrows grow back in.

If you look closely the arch has actually been plucked off which is a classic sign of overplucking. Other than that I actually do think the arch is largely the same. The arch on both is to the outside of the eye rather than being directly over the eye which in itself is kinda unique.

And this is what solidifies him as a hack. He's more interested in the image he's constructed than actually being a comedian. I'm starting to press X on him being banned from comedy circles due to his politics, I think it was probably because he sucked. Adopting the MAGA mantra and writing the rejection off due to "muh politics" is pretty much the same thing a lot of other people when called on their failures do when they troon out. He just chose the opposite side of politics. It is pretending the reason you failed/copped shit/were rejected in what you sought to do was because of politics and the social war instead of it just boiling down to the simple fact the person was just not talented enough or was just a pain in the ass to be around. Now days if you fail in what you do either reach for the HRT or a MAGA hat and pretend it was those Nazis/SJWs that caused you to fail. That way it you can pretend to the world and yourself that it was never your fault.

I know that the whole thread can be for criticism of Dick's show (which would definitely be disallowed on the reddit) but while he sperged out on the whole "Karen Farms" incident, I'm not convinced on the whole "Maddox won/Dick is a hack with only some leather-faced goblina to fuck" A-logging. His character as a person is pretty shitty, listen to a few shows and he more or less admits to lying to friends and family, getting angry over tiny things, trying to cheat his father over a full tank of gas (there was one story where he said he borrowed a vehicle and intended to leave the tank almost empty, bemoaning that he did fill up at the end of his trip), drinking to excess, doing drugs, being vindictive and unforgiving to anyone who wronged him, and that's just the stuff he's openly admitted to.

At the same time, he is a pretty decent comedian, which is more than just coming up with material, it's also timing and delivery, which he does good at. The show is pretty boring when it's only him and Sean as a straight man to nod along with him, but he really shines with other shows, like WATP with Karl. Until everyone he's ever worked with (besides Maddox, who is a known liar) starts coming out of the woodwork and sharing stories about he was an awful person to work for and work with (the fate of Gregg "Opie" Hughes)...I won't believe it. Plus, the fact that he appears to retain good relationships with just about everyone who has appeared on the show (including Null) suggests that he was at least professional enough to burn bridges. To be fair I have never once claimed Maddox won. I just think Dax is class clown funny, the guy who always gets his laughs but it is from doing the same thing repeatedly to people who he already knows is going to laugh at it.

The more I listen to his act I'm of the opinion he's one dimensional and relies entirely on a supportive audience. If he was good on his feet when engaging with people he wouldn't need someone to mute the other person, half a dozen people to act as an on cue organic laugh track and asspats re-assuring him that he "is funny". If he was good on his feet he probably could have handled a drunk autistic Canadian heckler. If he was good on his feet he could have gotten out there first and mocked himself over the texts, therefore shaping the narrative and robbing his detractors of effectively using it.

I have gotten a few laughs from Dick and enjoyed some of his stuff but the more I think about it is the occasional good line in between a lot of LOUD IS FUNNY and it is always played to a supportive audience. I'm convinced the more I watch that he doesn't have the temperament or quickness of wit to handle hecklers, the charm to turn a hostile audience or ability to vary his routine to a live audience. My opinion, and it may not be one you or others share which is cool, is that Dax is class clown funny, as I've stated above, but doesn't have the skill set, mindset or talent to cut it on open mike or live audience, especially in LA where the competition for those spots is at its most cut throat.

I don't really care but if you think having people on your show in the hopes of fucking them is professional well I don't know what to say. Also doesn't his show art suck now cause he was so unprofessional he lost all his artists?
