Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

The biggest cost is definitely an artist. You have to almost make sure that that artist is good enough to pull in enough backers, since most people will buy it for the pretty pictures.
Without giving away the rates of your own artists, what is the average rate of a good artist who is relatively unknown?
No clue what his problem is. I even had him on my channel once to promote.

You might not remember this but his goal was $15k on that one, and he said he made it $15k essentially because he wanted a lot of money. When he didnt get $15k after day 1, he made a video crying and blaming cg. He deleted it but J Ishiro made a roast video in reply.

Liam, before all this, was actually going to work with a shady artist named David Jaxon, and when I warned him about David he got super mad at me.

I really dont know why Liam always spergs about me. He lied on a yellowflash thread once saying I tried to drive him to suicide. I asked him for proof amd he couldnt give any because it doesnt exist, but yellowflash and cg spread that lie as part of a smear campaign.

Honestly I think liam is just mentally ill. Notice you had no clue what I "did" to him because he can NEVER say it, because theres nothing to say. Hes just crazy.
We've established Liam Gray is batshit insane, he has an account here too @Tyne and was threadbanned for getting into arguments and posting long "dear diary" threads about his future influence on the comic industry.

Also thanks for the clarification, did you have a link for that response video J Shiro posted? It doesn't matter if not, I'll try and find it anyway.

Sorry to hear about your more recent campaign, I am a previous backer of your work.

Also not to be a critic but multi-posting on the Farms is generally frowned upon. I'll spoiler a guide below on how to use the multi quote function, which will allow you to answer multiple questions, from multiple users.
First select quote next to the user/s you wish to reply to.

Then select insert quote, next to attach files at the bottom left of the screen.

You can then arrange the order of the quotes and remove any you wish to delete for your reply, before clicking quote messages.

CapeKnight s right. Double and triple posting is frowned on here. IF you want to reply to multiple posts in a single response click the "quote" button for each post you respond to. It's in the lower right corner next to reply.

Thanks for the info on how to respond to multiples, and thanks so much for backing my previous campaigns.

With artists you (usually) get what you pay for. Above all else I try to make sure they have a reliable track record.

I'd say for a purely black and white book like I typically put out, $50-75 a page would be pretty solid. It would go up if we're talking color, but doing strictly BNW is a great way to make a quicker product.

Sometimes artists will work for backend, but they typically take longer to do the work because they arent being paid yet.

Hello Nasser. Your last comic could barely reach half of a very low $6k goal. Trixie Cain, on the other hand, reached $23k. Given that you seemed to be building an audience do you ever regret cutting yourself completely out of CG?

At least he can put out good content with 6k than most of cg with 100k who rely on splash pages and have incoherent storytelling. Why would he reconcile with evs when he added him into a no win situation ganged up by 10 other people in a video chat and made a clip of "YF DESTROYS NASSER". Stop being a evs dicksucker dude.

The funny part is yellowflash totally projected in that video, because one time he sent me a dm about how he was leaving CG because "Ethan and his lords" have taken it over.

Notice again, another guy who accuses me but can never say what i "did".

I have a better idea, why don't you let Nasser answer the questions I ask - if he is so inclined. They may be blunt but they're actually ones that people might want to hear an answer to rather than your predictable "Hi Nassy, quick question, don't you just HATE Ethan?!" We know a thousand times over how autistically obsessed you are with EVS, you really don't need to show it off in every single post.

For the record I did back his first book.

If you don't mind, would you care to share these DMs? It'd greatly help our archives on ComicsGate lore, and for our very own esteemed scholar @Mister Dongs to be able to compile a comprehensive break down in a perfect timeline of events that is to be added in a revised opening of this thread, and it would also help validate and vindicate you from a lot of the accusations.

Since you're answering questions.

Brutas was Donal's campaign. I saw the stream where he admitted that you were entitled to a 50% share of all profits and ownership. It's pretty clear he spent your end on an attempt to get diabetes.

Are you considering any legal remedies to ensure you get the money he doesn't appear to want to pay up?

Or have you written it off since it was already blown on Mountain Dew and Hostess products?

It's not a big enough IP to where a lawsuit is worth it. Id spend more than the campaign made.

Would you ever reconcile with EVS? For a while he would occasionally say he missed not having you in the fold.
What would be the point of that? Ethan & Co spent the past year making Nasser out to be an enemy, his persona non grata now. I've watched JDA sneak back into Comicsgate twice now with Ethan's blessing. Both times however the audience rejects him and he storms off with the shits and becomes "anti-CG" again.

Once Ethan poisons the masses against you, there is no going back.

Very interesting, Yellowflash is a snake. I'm not familiar with everything but he and TUG were involved in multiple gayops during the Weeb Wars drama.

Another question for @NasserRabadi13 , was Brutas your idea or Donal's? Clearly one of you came up with the character but both owned half of it? I'm confused whether Brutus was your idea and Donal was the artist, or if Brutus was Donal's idea and you were the co-writer?

Firstly Nasser, Liam personally assured me that he is 100% sane in a series of replies that ultimately resulted in a Comicsgate nuclear waste burial ground being consecrated in "the Spergatorium" specifically for Liam's posts and any other posts contaminated by quoting him. So I think we can say we've established something about Liam's sanity.

Secondly, Liam also alleges that you were involved in a whisper network with many of the early CG creators like Doug TenNapel and Mike S. Miller to blacklist him and others. Would you care to address these claims or perhaps give a peek behind the curtain about what networking in early CG (if any) was like?

Donal had one drawing of Brutas and 2 other characters he had designs for but no name or backstory and that was it. He asked me to write him like wolverine in space. This was July 2018. I wrote 4 issues and had ideas for at least 10 more. I was working on rewriting 2-4 when everything went down. He tried to get Cridious to rewrite 2-4 for him, but I think now hes doing it on his own.

I don't see anyone buying Brutus after the debacle of the year late first issue and his insulting customer service.

What would I blacklist him from and who would listen to me? I had him on my channel, and I never had any power over people to say "oh dont have this guy on."

Networking in early cg came pretty easy for me. After my first appearance on ethans show, everyone wanted me on (mostly as a punching bag). And I'd always share lesser known campaigns with the bigger guys. I always tried to get peoples work seen.

Again, I even tried to get liam's work seen, I had him on my show and retweeted his campaign. The art was pretty good but it failed, and hes trying to blame me for his own failures.

This all feels very similar to the deal with Cash Grab. So, the IPs that people in CG are left with are actually built up more by people whom they've chased out. I think we can firmly establish that merit means jack shit if you don't lick people's boots, very similarly to how people get fucked out of scripts they write in Hollywood or contributed to.

Essentially, these guys are just thieves. I've always hated the talking point of "good artists steal, great artists steal better". It's just pedantically wording things to give one's self a false sense of importance that one doesn't necessarily deserve.
