Ok, it might not be normal, but it's not uncommon. I don't understand your line about guilt fuel, it's a false assumption that less sex = incompatible partner. There is a variety of psychological and/or physiological reasons for decreases in sex drives in individuals.

Partners should ideally have similar sex drives. I'm not talking about gradual hormonal changes or temporary changes in libido. It's just bad news when one partner is feeling pressured and dodging advances all the time and the other one is all frustrated. It sucks.

I've never been in one of these but have seen it with friends. Often times there will be arguments about what's normal and the truth is they're both "normal" but shouldn't be together. To the person with the lesser drive this can seem harsh and excessive because there isn't anything missing as far as they're concerned.
