I agree with all that however me and I'm assuming you, aren't the people in charge running the system.

You get called out a racist on Twitter and blasted to Google, there goes your future opportunities because the people who run the system don't care about context, they don't care about plight, they don't care about the individual. They live in their gated communities and security guards only answering to the public conscious. Right now the public conscious is the twittrati because they make the most and loudest noise

I understand getting information but, why are they "instigating violence"? What do they accomplish by doing that?

Police rely on intimidation and people generally accepting their authority in order to keep the peace. For the entire city of 430,000 people they have 800 cops. When a sizable chunk of that population says "fuck it, BOOGALOO" they cant do shit outside hunker in their precinct and try and keep the riot contained to a certain area and wait for the rioters to get tired and go home. What are 800 dudes going to do against an angry crowd of 20,000?

If there's a peaceful protest, you send in your agent provocateur to incite them into aggressive actions like vandalizing, looting, and attacking so you can justify an escalation of force to break up the protest.

As i said before, the situation is way past that point but it doesn't stop twitter and lefties to point at every bad action as a undercover cop so they can maintain the image in their mind that they are a peaceful assemble with no bad actors.

They shouldn't have allowed it to get that bad from the start, though. If they had been doing their jobs from the beginning this wouldn't have happened. There are procedures in place to deal with large, unruly crowds. It's why we have a militarized police force in the first place; so that 800 people do have a chance against 20,000.
