The people saying that undercover cops are setting fires are drastically underestimating how much human beings love to set shit on fire when they're pissed. It is deeply annoying to be supportive of prosecuting the cop who killed Floyd but seeing all these likewise younger people pulling out literal two year old logic-- you kill one of ours we burn down all of your shit.

"B-but muh American revolution--" That was an organized effort by a militia, not thousands of wild idiots swarming over Target like locusts. This is not going to spark a revolution; the government and media will point only to the violence and looting and say 'these people cannot be reasoned with, look at what they're doing' while disregarding the peaceful protestors.

... Then again, looking at Ferguson which wasn't nearly as bad maybe peaceful protesting doesn't work in this day and age either.

While there is video evidence, there is speculation amongst LEO and Justice System circles that the officers in question may not get prosecuted, as there are few outcomes that do not involve perverted justice.

I'll elaborate in a minute, editing my post.
With the entire situation blowing up in such a short amount of time, it's going to be very difficult to find an unbiased jury and judge.
And if the eventual prosecution is anything short of 20 years to life without parole, there's only going to be more rioting.

Hence, there may not even be a trial to begin with - or a very short kangaroo court.
Both outcomes are very, very bad.
Frankly, the officers in question shouldn't be at home.
They should be in protective custody, because lord knows how badly these guys fucked up.
