Guess they missed the entire MK11 Sheeva controversy when NRS made the character look like literal Shrek but okay.
Before the leaks nobody gave a fuck about Abby being masculine (except maybe OAG), the whole shitstorm started because of the golf murder scene which the actual fans found insulting. The backlash against Abby would have been exactly the same if it was a male character, or maybe even stronger.
Again, the same people call anime characters prostitutes but we can't meme Abby because "real women's feelings are hurt"? Especially since no real woman would like that naturally.

The problem isn't "muscular women are unrealistic and gross", it's that its unrealistic for a woman to have this much muscle mass in a post-apocalyptic setting where she should have no feasible means to gain that much mass and maintain it.

Also, some shots of her would make Broly blush with how jacked she is.

White "woman" kills Joel and his bro and beats the shit out of Ellie, but I guess it's cool because it's the Asian who shoots the pregnant woman with an arrow... and then white "woman" beats her face into the floor and goes to cut her throat.

I can't see the left-leaners or right-leaners not kicking up a shitstorm about this game the day it's released, tbh. I'm looking forward to the June 12 reviews to see if any of these complaints get covered.

You know the whole dog thing reminds me of another anticipated video game that tripped before it hit the starting line; Call of Duty: Ghosts. They made fascinating claims about how there would be a dog in the game and the dog's textures were modeled after a real life dog and how they'd created high-tech fish AI that would swim away from you as you moved closer. Really groundbreaking shit.
(Relevant timestamp is 6:40 mind the man who hasn't left the early-to-mid=2000s, I like his content but I know some might take exception to it)
Perhaps if I was cleverer and well-slept I'd be able to draw a deeper comparison between these two things.
