Police rely on intimidation and people generally accepting their authority in order to keep the peace. For the entire city of 430,000 people they have 800 cops. When a sizable chunk of that population says "fuck it, BOOGALOO" they cant do shit outside hunker in their precinct and try and keep the riot contained to a certain area and wait for the rioters to get tired and go home. What are 800 dudes going to do against an angry crowd of 20,000?

Sadly that is exactly how it works and it has been used in the past for that purpose.

Simple answer is they want to be black and get away with black behavior and not be held to white expectations. Complicated answer is if you listen to the black separationists; they want their own black country (they usually claim the southern states) but want to be tied to the white USA and their economy, if not outright reparations. They'd also probably expect freedom of movement as well, but haven't seen anything like that in their demands.



I sometimes joke that the elites decided that violence and the death penalty is "cruel and unecessary" to protect themselves. Because if sufficient people all organized, there'd be a massive fucking culling.
