Twitter Hides POTUS Tweet

All that anger you're directing at me, send it Trump's way. HE'S the one that wants to regulate our Internet shitposting.

Already mentioned this before but Obama tried the same also. Sometimes you sound like Huey and about to get how the powers no matter what the color of their ties and panties don't care. And other times you sound just like Riley, with the hyper partisan bullshit about Trump when there is ton of it out there on Reddit, Twitter, etc... and many posters here who would support Trump or likely to already admitting they don't like this.

the best option would be to create a legal fiction like "quasi-property" with which to describe web sites -- "quasi-platform/quasi publisher" that would allow lawmakers to approach policy re: the internet in an adaptive way rather than trying to put it in an existing box
btw, @Null, it's lowercase-i internet according to the associated press and chicago manuals of style, and has been for several years now.
(edit for clarification: he had a minor freakout over the capitalization of "internet" by the white house a few minutes ago on stream)

Aaron McGruder's way smarter than I. But I appreciate the comparison.

Unfortunately, I have nothing insightful to add to this 230 Communications Act, but why do the posters in this thread remind me of this movie?

Are we heading to this dystopian society in the near future?

Null created an entire website designed around finding anyone showing any kind of emotion on the internet and mocking them for it.
So when Null shows concern about an upcoming law change that could destroy the website, he's met the with expected responses the site has fostered.

Sure, I want Twitter to disappear, too. But I don't want KF or any other site to go down with them.
Only way Twitter will disappear slowly is if Trump deletes his account and stick to posting all his shit on Facebook as a token of appreciation to Zuckerberg or on Instagram. And branch out to Alt-Tech as it this point, media will call him a asshole anyways or the usual natsee spiel. Problem as stated before is Trump is tech illiterate so hope his intern is redpilled, based pilled or some shit to suggest it.

230 is shitty because it doesn't define what the fuck "good faith" means and at the same time exempts "providers" from basic contract law.

I think “good faith” is one of those terms decided by the Court when applicable, just like obscenity. In the words of whatever judge said it, “I’ll know it when I see it.”
