I think it's likely that murder charges will result in a hung jury or even acquittal especially if the autopsy determines Floyd died of an OD. The kneeling cop imo will probably still be (and should be) put away for federal civil rights charges but I wouldn't be particularly surprised if the other 3 walk and that'll be more than enough for round 2 of this.

Depends on who’s giving orders to the National Guard. The reason they waited until six this morning was because the Mayor was hemming and hawing about will-he won’t-he have them do anything.

Reports are coming out that the national guard has received "credible threats" and will be armed to the teeth tonight, yet they lack the legal authority to detain or arrest anyone.

Let's be 100% clear: the white people at least who are calling for the abolition of the police also want an NKVD like apparatus with "people's tribunals" handling criminal justice matters, so they can arrest the middle class at gunpoint for reeducation, seize/expropriate private property, and so on. That's what they mean by "abolish the police". Disarming the middle class will make this possible. It has nothing to do with violence, it has everything to do with their enemies (e.g., you and I) being able to fend off Stasi raids. There was a Russian who spoke about The Terror who said, if we hadn't been cowed, if we instead had met the police with pistols and kitchen knives and chair legs and razors and ambushed them in stairwells, the raids would have ended. It is this that the modern left wants to avoid.
