So does the US. I really wish people bothered to educate themselves on the relevant facts. Police arrest an estimated 10 million people per year. Of those, approximately 1,000 end up with the person dying. That's 0.01%. There are 330,000,000 people in this country, and nearly 1 in 5 interact with cops in a given year (that's 66,000,000 interactions.)

Like looking forward, I would not be surprised if some of that shit never gets rebuilt.
In the LA riots, you had people living in the neighborhood, and it was still an era where you had to go to an actual, physical store and put your cash on the barrelhead.
Also, a lot of those buildings were built in an era where labor and bricks were cheap. It's the cycle of gentrification where a once nice neighborhood starts to go to shit when blacks move in, then the immigrants move there 'cause it's affordable, but eventually fags and braver whites and Asians realize that you can get a sturdy house within walking distance of 10 kinds of ethnic food, and the neighborhood gentrifies. Anything rebuilt is going to be a pile of McShit built by fast food chains.
Middle-class wypipo (including half of the rioters) are all ordering shit off Amazon, from GrubHub, and from Instacart, and life is boring but it's going on with no interruption. Well, Safeway was out of pumice stones and my feet need some TLC, but you know, we all must soldier on in these challenging times. But every other fag on Facebook is posting pix of their sourdough starter like it's their firstborn.
It's the people who live in that area who now have to go three miles to the nearest grocery, and you know they're gonna be like "Muh food deserts!"
