I don't get it. Other countries manage to arrest people - without killing them all the time. How do they manage?

Seems like it must be possible somehow.

I would start by not standing on someone's neck. Sounds crazy, but that might be a start. Once someone is handcuffed, it really should not be so hard not to kill them, with five people.

Fair to middlin'. Doesn't excuse the cops failing to monitor him and change things up when he zonked out. The guy was in police custody. Therefore wrongful death suit incoming. It's Freddie Gray but a bit more hands-on at this point. We will know if it is more later.

If the knee to the neck is what caused it and you can prove it in court. We don't have the coroner's report yet. Dude could have blown out an aorta in the struggle and been a dead man before the knee was even applied. Or he could have died from asphyxiation. Or something else. We just don't know.

Did the knee help matters? No. Is it enough to make a manslaughter charge stick? Eh. Not at this time.

It makes no difference at this point because there was and will be more looting, arson and death, every white person, dead, alive and not yet born is to blame. Every black person not on board will be seen as a traitor, and everyone who is neither white or black is irrelevant. This is our new reality.

Stuff like this reminds me of Reginald Denny a trucker who stopped to show support for blacks during the LA riots, and was rewarded by being beat nearly to death.
