But allegedly this cop had like 18 previous complaints for being a fucking dick.

The cops are as bad as the blacks and the troons: they'll protect their absolute worst elements with no understanding that they're a bunch of fucking white dindus and everyone with half a brain understands that if these groups can't be trusted to police their own, people not in those groups are going to justly be suspicious of even the most clean-cut-seeming member.

And the only time I've seen Antifa in the wild, they were protesting Meghan Murphy at the Seattle Public Library. Canadian gingers are the real threat, yo.

that comes with a territory, depending where he works. When you deal with assholes and animals, you'll get accused of racism non stop unless you are in Mayfield and your most dangerous career move was to get kitten out of the tree.

I have a friend/family dealing with certain patients all the time. He has been injured a bunch of times on the job. If you apply less force, you'll get that. Apply more and you may get fucked on excessive force. When dealing with an accomplished felon the last thing you want to do it relax and be nice to them.

It was still the nigger's fault for committing the crime in the first place. If he had a heart attack, it was likely not the police officer's fault. How was he supposed to know that he was dying?
idk, maybe the fact that the nigga was saying that hes dying?...

if the dumb shit just moved his knee he would still have his job, no one would speculate that he died of getting choked then

NYC protest right now,Adhering to social distancing i see :story:

@DickMain Twitter is always gonna be ACAB, Black Lives Matters, and Die Pigs. And "Black people are always right and we should bow to their superior intellect". You will get shamed off the platform if you say things like "All Lives Matter" and "The cops should see trial but riots aren't going to change the hearts and minds of America".

I don't use it, but I've got friends and family who do. I'm convinced that people get brainwashed into believing that you can't call both sides shitheads. If you call out the rioters then somehow in their brains it means you're excusing the cops.

Update: surprised to learn that the leftiesphere hasn't convinced them that the rioters were in the right for this. Maybe there is a little hope.

Does it matter at all that there's a less than 0 chance he would have been charged with that felony if the death hadn't occurred?

Not really.

More importantly, the charge is a decision theory thing based on how juries think. Often, the inclusion of an option in a list, even one that nobody ever chooses, makes it more likely a decisionmaker will choose one of the other options. So by including felony murder, you increase the chance the jury will choose manslaughter over nothing. You also increase pressure on the defendant to plead out to the lesser charge.

This weak, anemic prosecutorial choice will probably lead to disaster.

The autopsy does not absolve the cop of all responsibility in his death.

It says that evidence is not consistent with death by strangulation, and points towards underlying heart disease as the core mechanism. This underlying heart disease is most certainly exacerbated by the decreased oxygen intake and stress of the officer kneeling on his neck for 8 minutes.

A knee was also on his neck for > 2 minutes after he went unresponsive. That's valuable time where in-field treatment (BLS) could have been applied. It's also unlikely that continuing to restrict his oxygen intake after he'd gone responsive was helpful to him.

His action and inaction substantially contributed to his death. His death is very unlikely to have occured without that cops intervention. Therefore, the officer still bears substantial responsibility.

Saying this absolves the cop is pretty silly. Almost as silly as burning down your own neighborhood to own the establishment.
If intoxicants are found in his system most of what you just said is nullified. He also refused to get into the car and physically resisted while doing so, according to the report. Substantial body camera footage, paired with the argument that they we’re trying to restrain him since he was refusing to comply, can make a case for his acquittal.

The problem is burning down their own city does do something. It makes white people afraid of upsetting black people in any way at all, and forces the white people to give the black people special privileges to be enforced by the MSM. It also makes it so that the government lets black criminals walk all over them and get away with a ton of shit.
I wouldn't be sure about that. If anything, the riots are a double edged sword. They either discourage people from offending black people, or, they pretty much embolden the racial divide by proving detractors right.

The optics are this. Most were unanimous in condemning Floyd's death. Almost nobody was denying that cop screwed up.

After all of that, these riots happen. Nobody is going to look at this and say to themselves, "Damn! Better not piss off them blacks."

George Floyd's death was a genuine tragedy, but in the long run, destroying your own town and community is not gonna endear you to the majority.

I am a bit confused.

I thought you couldn't be guilty of both murder and manslaughter on the same individual at the same time?

could've been lying to get away.
move the knee a little?

this happened because the cop was a dipshit
everyone was telling the guy to move the knee but no the fag was too stubborn to move
