Live PD is great. I discovered it while I had a fairly serious sports injury and had to spend a week on a couch. They virtually just played that through the whole week. Glorious really

While this isn't super related to the riots in of themselves; I've been thinking: is Humanity truly only equal when we're killing each other in War? Even in Asymmetrical Warfare, too? After a point I have to imagine no one thinks about race or nationality or the ideologies involved; it comes down to living or dying in combat. You live or die as a Soldier. That's all there is to it. None of this manipulation bullshit or ignorance. No wonder some people only feel at home on the battlefield. That's the only thing that some of them ever knew. And I'm starting to think some of them were better off for it.

I think this type of shit, some people on both sides are pulling a "well let's compromise a bit and reach toward the middle on some stances" approach because I think both Dems and Republicans see that there are a good chunk of people now who are sick of extremism on both sides. There are otherwise liberals who are tired of the extreme left forcing shit like trans rights everywhere, who are embarrassed by that sort of extremism, and there are Republicans, usually young ones, who dont go full /pol/ tard and dont care about race or pro-life shit, theyre more worried about the economy, and embarrassed by that extremism, the boomer shit and religious right shit.

Both parties are trying to scoop up the middle-ground voters because fucking 2020, the presidential race is gonna be a fucking bombshell.

I think maybe the Mayans were wrong, the world wasnt supposed to end in 2012, with the way things are going so far apparently it might end in 2022.

Pandering to the middle is I guess in the grand scheme a fools errand, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, but since the race will probably be close, I dont think any side wants to leave chips on the table.

Because even(especially) to a layman, kneeling on the neck or head of the dude is kind of fucked up, common sense seems like you would kneel on the dude's upper back especially in terms of subduing somebody and preventing their movement, and I know Ive seen photos of police doing just that to other suspects who were resisting arrest. Then you have audio of him pleading with the cop, and he basically signed a deal that people would riot when he died.

It's almost like when you all like the same things and/or want to climb the social ladder; you make friends and condone bad shit like that. You think he ran around with everyday people; no, he was with bankers, politicians, and Harvard. If anything, it's a stronger indictment about those people and their proclivities than it is about what the majority of the population tolerates. Or, when you consider the 2% is a majority of bankers and academics, maybe it says a lot about them.

Another thing about that movie that isn't brought up is how fucking incompetent the Chinese are. Like, they finally get a place set up for gravel and show up with a broken truck (because their maintenance guy didn't check it) then just bodge it together so they can say they did something.
