Dragon ball was made for entertainment and it succeeded at that. I don't remember ever thinking to myself, wow, what a stupid drama shitshow is this after an DB episode and was always looking forward to a new one. I don't know to which anime/manga could i compare CG drama to. I am currently reading Death note (i did saw the anime) and there's a lot for you to think in that, but there is no way anyone in CG is as smart of a person as anyone in that story.

note: not counting Super and GT... even tho even those 2 gave me more joy than this bullshit.

Also, are you saying that Ethan's show isn't made for entertainment? Because he would get into a slapfight with you over that. According to him, he's "very entertaining and popular!" although, I don't think he knows just how obscure and boring he actually is.

Comicsgate's trajectory sort of makes sense if you ignore the bluster and follow the money. Be Christian, but not too Christian (bye Edwin); be Conservative, but not too Conservative (bye JDA); be edgy, but not too edgy (bye WC). Yeah, that's a simplification, but not too much of one, I think. Like they tell you in basketball, to look at the belt and not the head when guarding somebody.

I think WC was toast soon anyway, Anna's shitty artwork was just the spark that lit the fire.

Just think about it: the entire Comicbook industry wanted to destroy CG for years, and finally Liam Grey made it a reality.

Liam makes Warcampaign look like a moderate when it comes to purity testing because he genuinely believes in the practice and enforcing a set of standards consistently as opposed to applying it selectively in the pursuit of political power like they do as self-appoined vanguard. This came to a head when Ro Kabir was desperately trying to talk Liam away from purifying Ya Boi Zack of his anti-CG contamination in the form of Sashi. So he's obviously unhappy that bringing sunlight to the conflicts (based on contradictions and mutually exclusive ideas held by people within Comicsgate that Liam naively felt were based on mere personal misunderstandings) isn't resolving itself in the way that he thought they would.

That said, Frog's open and sincere efforts to address' Liam's legitimate grievances has prevented Ro and WC from convincing Liam that Frog is engaging in a conspiracy against him and using him in the way he was used against Nasser, Mike, Doug, etc. Obviously Liam's been shown something, but has second thoughts about using it against Frog in a plausibly deniable way to his sources.

Unbelievable. TWO YEARS and it's still not done. Ran from all the CG drama, got ran out by the mainstream comic industry and still couldn't get it done. Manga books run for 150+ pages per volume and they can't get a measly 68 pages done as seasoned professionals??? When even the PC/SJW goblins at Marvel and DC can act like dancing simians on Twitter and still produce work (albeit low quality) on time and you can't, you have truly fucked up.

I didn't find it pretentious, it's a perfectly reasonable case study about someone who gets an ego-trip and ends up destroying himself. Except for the main character, because that's literally how he is: pretentious as shit. His other works... ehhhh Bakuman was fun, and he's got one other work which I dropped and it's his latest work, now that one I'd say is bordering more on being pretentious.

The funny thing is that Allegiance had to push back it's Walmart debut because while The Futurists, Norah's Saga and Bass Reeve's were completed, Mitch still hadn't completed the initial 24 pages for Red Rooster. It's clear now he's attempting to rush to the finish line, which in my opinion will lead to mistakes being made and short cuts in quality. I still haven't read my backer preview of RR yet, but I know the SWC brothers tore it apart.

Of all the Comicsgater's, Adam Friended is probably the one I despise the most. I've never watched his content and only seen him briefly but there's just something about the guy that rubs me the wrong way. He has the look of a pseudo-intellectual, college professors assistant who probably date rapes women at frat parties. Ro Kabir basically telling the guy to fuck off was one of the only things I can agree with, Adam makes my skin crawl.
