I question if this constitutes a State matter. We got Riots breaking out all across the lower 48, and people are traveling from other States to participate in them. The only way to start tamping down on them is a major show of force at this point. Yesterday they had National Guard out there carrying rifles with no Ammo in them. People started making fun of them. A huge part of the States power is based on the perception of that power, and right now all these protestors believe the State has no power. This is thanks largely to the toothless response of the Democratic Party controlled governments in these cities, and the subsequently equally toothless responses of their governors.

Nobody wants to the see the Army on the street cracking skulls but at the same time these Anarchic conditions need to end. Roll in with the Strikers and up armored Humvees. And this time have the weapons armed and in the gun mounts. Then back up the MP's as they proceed with mass detainment. Give them 50 zip ties each and use less then lethal force to start wrapping the rioters up. If they shoot back respond accordingly. Use the Vikings stadium as a temporary holding cell. 24 hours in Army custody will cool their jets fast. Army guards are allowed use corporal punishment for even slight infractions or failure to obey orders immediately while in custody. They will wish the cops had arrested them.

This can end very quickly, but nobody wants to be the political leader in charge to give the order. Not even Trump.

There is literally nothing of downtown Tampa worth saving if they burn it all. Goto ybor and everything is closed due to being old , business' are shutdown and the bars are horrible. Gonna go north of Ybor and it's the projects, burn them all down, nothing of value lost. Go west, you hit pockets of white trash before you hit the prison. Tampa is an urban sprawl gone wrong and nothing downtown has any cultural value.

Now if they go down Bayshore drive, which I can only PRAY they do, this is where all the rich folks are (NFL players, business owners, upper class socialites) who want to live in downtown yet be on the water. This is also a place that rich folks, have money, live in a gun friendly state will absolutely be shot on site.

I have an old coworker who lives there and is laughing his ass off at this mess. His neighbors are all united that if one of their properties is hit they all respond. I'm looking forward to his text messages and status updates tomorrow.
