I'm starting to think it might be a negotiating tactic. WarCampaign has clearly learned they can not go toe to toe with the FROG but they could still reveal something about Malin and/or Cecil that could make Ethan disavow. They do that and they might manage a triumphant return to favor.

They need to threaten the nuclear option (whatever they have on Ethan) but they don't want to play it as anything but a last resort because there will be no returning from that play as the game will be over and everyone loses.

Here's where I think theres some disconnect. Frog said he actually made money once he cut WC. I believe it. In both instances--using the report number Preston gave to Rekieta--both departments said it wasn't theirs (Dallas straight-up said that the number was not right, as the year the report is filed would be at the end of the number), and Evesham/Marlton said it wasn't one of theirs but, not being a party to the complaint and lacking any authorization by the complainant in any reports filed they couldn't tell me any more.

So, Preston said he did, the police in both jurisdictions say it isn't theirs.

I don't think Ernst has claimed or disavowed CG in so many words but the writings on the wall. Pretty sure he said he unfollowed EVERYONE who posted that stuff. That would include TUG and EVS.
