He needs me to come in so we move client machines and other valuables to a different site.

I want to say this is a case of better safe than sorry, since the city our shop is in is fairly white and middle class, but this fucking sucks.

I see what you mean, but the media would totally spin it as a "cathartic" moment where people take down "a symbol of white supremacy". No doubt normal Americans would be outraged, but as soon as the media starts calling them racist for having that opinion, people will clam up.

Santa Monica has gone to utter shit since the protests at 2 pm. Everything's vandalized and destroyed. The few people who tried to stop the looting got attacked and gassed by looters.

Funny enough though- other counties that have had protests haven't resulted in looting and vandalizing. I wonder why.
