True, but this is all still fresh in people's minds, the terrorism declaration is less than 24 hours old and I'd wager a lot of the liberal normies are still operating on the post-Charlottesville narrative of Antifa being the "Nazi-puncing good guys" that the clickbait mills openly and aggressively pushed back in 2017 and the mainstream media outlets more or less implicitly endorsed.

With something as serious as a federal terrorist designation, expect at least a few high-profile journalists and media outlets recanting those statements and renouncing the Antifa movement in the coming days, weeks, and months. This isn't New Jersey cops making a vague statement about Antifa being "put on watch", this is serious FBI-DOJ collaboration here.

The FBI and the DOJ have more or less been divided and bickering against each other thanks to TDS and the FBI's pursuit of the Russiagate scandal, and now they're working together...that's the thing that's making me think this thing has some legs and isn't just a vague nothingburger tweet.

Even if it's just paying lip service to save their sorry asses, I'd expect major media outlets to start denouncing Antifa as a movement, even if they tack on a "but the right is bad too" platitude to cover their own ass on both fronts.

Antifa are likely to find themselves up shit creek without a paddle, especially once the first major arrests are made.

And as usual, Never-Trump weighs in and not only completely misses the point, but fails to do anything approaching logical thinking. At no point did Trump declare that they were going to brand Antifa as Domestic Terrorists, because that law doesn't exist. William Barr accused them of domestic terrorism, but that's not interchangeable with a domestic terrorist. By their own admission, Antifa is an international group with branches in most every major, Western country in the world.

Charlie isn't thinking big enough, if at all. Trump never singled out the American satellite of Antifa, he set the crosshairs on all of them.

Antifa has been the subject of an ongoing, four-year investigation that began the last time that they started to riot and trash cities. Undercover, Federal agents were sprawling out through the crowds during those riots to determine who was in charge, to disarm the people causing or who had the potential to cause the most damage, and to start not only plotting out the "command structure" of their groups, but to actively infiltrate them. They don't need to hack whatever dipshit network they think they've concocted and they don't need to break whatever dumbass encryption they were told to use, the Feds are already part of their organization.

Registering them as a Domestic Terror organization, even if it were possible, wouldn't be allowed by Portland anyways because Portland voted to leave the JTTF back in early 2019. There would be no point in trying to chase these people down unless you registered them as an international organization, because then the Feds can leap straight over your retarded city council and do their jobs without your approval. The ACLU and Congress can't do a thing to stop that.

And this cleanup already started last night. If you pay close enough attention to some of the videos that come out, you can spot the Federal agents who are already running through the crowds to take out the biggest trouble-makers. In the span of a second, this guy ripped the gun out of some skinny idiot's arms with one hand, shoved him towards his partner, took out the magazine and cleared the chamber. The skinny idiot didn't even know what happened until he was shoved into the back of a van, somewhere.

That isn't just some guy, that's one of the people who's going to be making all of the worst ones go away.

Well thats certainly a good way to double down your way out of a job. Even if nothing comes of the government going after antifa, doubling down and publicly declaring yourself a member of an organization that your government just made a world wide declaration of being a literal terrorist organization is as stupid as it gets. It pretty much puts news organizations in a position of being forced to fire you or risk a pretty serious investigation of their operations and who they are supporting, and for what purposes. No business can have employees publicly declaring themselves members of a terrorist organization like that and expect it to end well for anybody involved
