Lansing, the capitol of Michigan, had some unrest earlier tonight. Some windows smashed including a bank, two government/office buildings, and a jewelery store, but no buildings on fire. A car overturned. Police used tear gas on the crowd, and this guy on Twitter is claiming it was all White people who were throwing stuff, etc.

What academic types call the neocolonialist mindset was mostly inherited by the cultural left.
"You can't hold savage black people to the standards of us civilized whites" became "it's unfair to hold marginalized black people to the same standards as us privileged whites."
Different language, different political implications, same basic belief.

I know this comes dangerously close to the cuckservative "liberals are the real racists!!11" line but there's some truth to it.
And obviously you see it from "the right" as well, Crowder et all. "Blacks dindu nuffin, it's just those mean old antifa ruining their message!" The infantilization of black people--the idea that they don't really have agency in the same way as whites--is sort of part of our creation myth as a nation.

And maybe there's too much truth to that idea for us to really get past it as a culture. So we just have to wrap it up in dishonest feelgood language.

Some antifa account is claiming it was an infiltration the entire time and will begin doxing members and leaders. Twitter has apparently closed down the account.
Its not clear if the account was actually an infiltration all along, or if someone managed to get access and is rattling the cage.
Either way, I think this will provide fuel for the people claiming the rioting is right-wing infiltration.

The account I believe was around three years old. Twitter just suspended it.

It dosent work tho. Since the cold war started they have been planning on hitting Pentagon. With the V2 rockets (blueprints looted from Nazi Germany) they could slap a big warhead. They just had to make the rockets bigger till they go as far as Pentagon.
 
I'm aware these riots are not going to last forever ... However, it looks like the momentum in multiple cities is alive and well, and doesn't seem to show a sign of stopping for the next several days.

What is it that Trump could do that wouldn't entail Martial Law (because, holy shit, who in their right mind would want that)? Is there anything that he could do at this point?
