Most of the powers that be don't want anyone to "get past it" or "work it out" it's a tool to be wielded by the media and such, to point the mindless mob where to go.

Most he can do is get the footage of said riots, make political ads saying that Democrat-run cities are responsible for this civil unrest and see if that would get more people to get them out of office or vote for his reeelection.

The police in these videos probably always hated police brutality because it gives good cops a bad name and bad cops who don't give two fucks are going to continue to utilize excessive force, especially when it comes to violent protesters and rioters. Nothing is actually going to change.
