I know your pain. I'm the youngest person who works for a company full of Boomers, and it's the same damn thing. Everyone wants to stereotype Boomers as watching Fox News, but that's not the case in my experiences. They suck up CNN, MSNBC, and late night talk shows like cocaine.

racism is wanting a fucking border, living with people that look like it, just as natural as loving your family over strangers... or now it means holding blacks accountable for the content of their character (racial profiling). Let's ignore the fact that segregation is a miserable idea that would result in far more animosity between races than we have right now, the insane logistical issues that segregation carries with it by definition, and the fact that a significant percentage of American's are mixed race. How do you expect to just displace massive amounts of people out of the communities they've lived their entire lives in, sometimes multiple generations? How do you expect to keep professionals employed when you're forcing them out of industry hubs that match their education? How do you draw the borders, and what are the rules to crossing them? So yes I know it's hard emotionally but you need to think about the future. Right now you're destroying America by keeping these people here.
Segregation brings an absolutely enormous host of problems along with it, and does next to nothing to solving any current racial issues. It's the worst possible "solution" to the current tensions in America.

I did some quick maths; in 1860 the Black population was anywhere between 3.5 and 4.4 million. Let's go with the high estimate. 4.4 x 40 = 16,160,000 MILLION ACRES. That's double the size of North+South Dakota.
Now I'm not saying it couldn't be done, hell, by the standards of the time the Dakotas would do since you could ignore the women.... but that leads me into what we always get by activists. Had the 40 acres plus mule been respected, there'd still be calls today to include women today in that deal, effectively doubling the grant, or worse still, infer anybody who's 40 acres were crap was victim of active conspiracy on the part of administrators.
The goalposts are moved all the time. In the 60s it was demands for just the opportunity to be whatever you want in life, then it became demands to accelerate the closing standards gap, then it was fabricating distinct black culture, all while expecting improving living standards, and now it has become demands for straight up equity whether the populace deserves it or not (because it'll be other citizens paying for it, not the big corporations)
Without beating the Republican talking points too much, blacks are generally held back by their own communities inferring foul play by law enforcement and the white population, when all statistics and affirmative action programme points to Black people with skills being highly valued and sought after.
Can you imagine how lucrative your career options are as a young black person that, somehow, gives all the toxic expectations of black culture a miss? It isn't like 60 years ago where state apparatus actively hamstrings you. Today you are given every opportunity to succeed, and yet the grievance mongers bullshit everybody into thinking a pornstar who uses counterfeit bills is an appropriate martyr for the type of future they want to craft for their community.

I don't expect this to be a popular sentiment here, but I think this is the only thing that even resembles a solution for disenfranchised black americans. The FBI has a proven history of waylaying and undermining any peaceful movements that gain any real momentum, and the only "progress" they ever see is faggot celebrities and infantilizing white "allies" and corporations co-opting their causes on social media for brownie points. The entire system fucks them, whether that's by design or not.
