The funny thing is that if any of these guys brought up the riots prior to this and how it's affected them he would've banned them because "No Politics allowed!"
He has the personality of a corporation. When something big happens, wait and see until you can give the safest possible opinion. Especially if, in Phil's case, it can be used to tug on people's heartstrings. It's really no secret to anyone anymore that he makes a living by guilt tripping.

Let's just forget a month ago when the lady buying 14 jars of pasta sauce was a greedy thief. Phil was pretty smug talking shit about her.

Now actual greedy thieves are in his area and he is crying and peeing his pants.

Phil will talk big when there is no danger but reveals his true cowardice when things get real.

When it comes to dealing with people saying mean words in his Twitch stream, Phil's more than willing to thump his chest, lay down the law, and protect his family.
Literally anything more than that and he'll hide in a corner and wait for it to be over (but not without sobbing to his paypigs about how traumatizing it was)

Poor DSP, having to find a way that black people dying affects him personally so he can get his pity cash from his disposable wheelchair army and maybe having to go out in the midst of not only a horrible pandemic but also rioting to get essential items like gin because it's all he knows what to do to entertain Kat who he can't connect with on a personal level probably because of his mental exceptionality and her potential assburgers.
