It's not like he asked for them to take him, it was stated that the USSS dragged him to the bunker for his safety which implies that he really didn't fear the protest outside, the Secret Service did. Considering what's happened to prior president's, I can see why they'd pull him away. I think people will understand that it's just the Secret Service doing their job but the MSM will still spin that until it flies like a fucking helicopter.

1.It doesn't matter if the argument doesn't hold water beyond the surface level, if it can justify their current tactics it must be used. The best part about this kind of argument is that when something is genuinely outrageous, it tends to cause both riots and more level-headed attempts at reform, and since the latter is slower it usually means that those reforms occur shortly after the riots, and wannabe terrorists like this can say "See, it's the riot that did it!".
