I come back from Warhammer 2 and Trump is putting active duty into cities? And he uses the word " total domination" like some fucking super villain? One military member shooting an innocent and he dooms his presidency. I don't care how much GOP koolaid you drink, being the acting president and having the military shoot at protesters looks godawful. And no amount of "we were aiming for the rioters!" will change that. If the police can constantly do fuckups, what's to stop Joe Boot from shooting some angry albeit innocent shreaking whale.

Major police and military action in DC right now. I heard what sounded like a street sweeping truck that sounded like it was just parked outside. I looked outside, and trees were blowing like it was a hurricane. A police helicopter was outside, barely above the level of the houses and buildings. Then another. All incredibly low, chasing mobs of people. DC is a no fly zone expect for government, so it's unusual to ever see even a single helicopter in the sky. It's like a war zone - I've never seen anything like it.

To be a turbo-autist, these are motorized, not mechanized. Mechanized troops are in vehicles that provide protection from small-arms fire. You could argue that they're light troops since ATVs have a different role than jeeps and the like.
