I walked away from this for a day and didn't get woken up by curfew notifications, so I thought maybe people calmed the fuck down. But searching the name of my city and then checking in here afterwards quickly told me that, nope, VERY nope, everyone's still acting like niggas.

I was checking the weather, but I guess now I have to add my umbrella to the list of shit I carry for protection. And probably bring some extra shit for my coworkers, because now EVERYONE'S coming to our area to shop, despite all these stores being within a 5-minute drive of each other because these chuckle fucks made everyone else close. Some permanently, according to my contacts deeper in the area, because the owners of the franchises are literally saying "Fuck it. It was operating at a loss, anyway; it ain't worth it". I guess that massive, years-long project to make the ghetto look less ghetto was a massive waste of resources, huh? I'm sure the kids didn't want that park. Nah, they'd rather play in a street covered in broken glass. And y'all liked all the dilapidated buildings, I guess, as well as not having anywhere nearby to work or shop. Who knew?

And of course, some of these asshole children coming this way are calling anything they don't like done by a white person racist. You stupid fuck, LOOK AROUND YOU. Do you honestly believe they were trying to close the divide? I personally do not. The divide was closing, albeit slowly, through messages of togetherness and commonality. Come together as Americans to celebrate our similarities. Higher education, the media, and the Obama went in the complete opposite direction and changed the dynamic of race relations over the last 10 years.
