Not about a riot but I happened to find this image while on FB and wanted to share it here. Article was unrelated to the image but I’ll link it anyway.
Someone used Izuku Midoriya (from My Hero Academia) in their protest poster.
The sheer level of dumb about this weeb doing this sent me off on a rant on FB, so I don’t wanna repeat it. But basically they take an out of context quote from Deku, not self aware enough to understand that he’s basically aiming to become the equivalent of a cop in a world of superpowers (cops still exist in this world btw but are considered redundant since Heroes do most of the work).
You wanna use a character from MHA? How about Shigaraki? His motive rant during the USJ battle is exactly what these protesters / rioters are saying. But oh wait, he’s a villain! For those who don’t know, Shiragaki basically called out the heroes saying they use violence and call it justice. Of course he was right in saying doing that is wrong but he’s doing the exact same thing. So heh.
Beyond that it’s annoying when people use characters as mouthpieces. Especially after these same weebs got on the authors case about a name for a character and how another character shared a birthday with Hitler or some shit.

Normal people are pissed because they know that if this doesn't end soon at best they might be buying a plane ticket or renting a uhaul truck and ditching town, and at worst we're looking at years of instability on top of the coronavirus economy damage.
Twitter furries and Discord trannies on the other hand are masturbating to this because "property can be replaced bro". Nevermind the fact that patreon/gofundme and welfare or allowance checks will dry up when this all goes to shit and they'll have no money for furry porn or Nintendo Switch games. There's also people being killed in these protests. More people have died in these protests than during Cville and yet I'm not seeing Discord servers condemning them or threatening to ban people for being for it like I did in 2017.

The same honestly, so far the only silver lining has been the farce that was the 'Post a black square on your social media' thing the protesters have organised.
People have done it and used the BLM hashtag, now everyone's screeching at how the tag is full of black squares and their 'vital resources and information' is getting drowned out. Ironic.

The reason it took so long was that the media had an absolute stranglehold on the narrative at first. They did their best to BURY anything that wasn't pro-'protestor'. What is happening is that the info is getting out anyway, and all at once.

Peaceful protests got the Civil Rights Act passed. Though in a way they are right: peaceful protests will not work, because nothing will work. There is no good ending in the game they are playing. It's like Pac-man, where you keep going until you die or it crashes.
Did you know that blacks are killed by police almost twice as often as whites, despite only committing about eight times as much crime? I was reading a Vox article this morning, they noticed that more whites are killed in absolute numbers but now they understand what "per capita" means. Not seeing any critical about the riots (or even the word "riots") unless I go looking for wrongthink. Starting to feel this isn't going to pass, nobody's going to wake up, the graph charting America is going to keep trending downwards indefinitely, and faster than I'd thought.
