And yet, whoever this cunt is, Vic said that she had already come to him in private about how he terribly assaulted her and he apologized and everything was fine. Then they met up at Bak Anime and again, everything was fine.

Which begs the question as to why she spoke to iO9 about her horrible experience.

What, Vic didn't beg your forgiveness enough, honey? He didn't grovel at your feet?

btw bitch I was raped like a dog in the fucking dirt and you talk about a tickle? Go to hell, you whore.

Based off this answer by Vic, Gretchen was either Tara Sands or Cassandra Lee Morris because both were at BakAnime 2019. Cassandra was the only one at ColossalCon 2012. I didn't see Tara's name pop up for ColossalCon (even in surrounding years). Although, it was sort of difficult to place Cassandra at BakAnime, I've got an article and one website listing her as a guest at BakAnime. ColossalCon's wiki lists her as a 2012 guest.

Edit: spelling
I remember that Sands made a lot of noise when the "Vic man bad" narrative started, but that's probably not enough to incriminate her or anything. Besides, CLM's name fits the blacked-out line censor.

Actually, if you read what he says, she came to him complaining just around the time of the interview. A 'couple of weeks ago' as of that interview. She must have done it when they were planning this or right when it kicked off. At least she had the decency to pretend she cared about that to Vic, unlike Monica who ignored his email and refused to pretend to want to help him in private.

Anyway, Gretchen was 100% Cassandra. Tara appears not to have gone to any cons until 2015, and multiple sources confirm Cassandra attended Bak-Anime and signed autographs and did a Q&A session with fans. As noted 'Cassandra Morris' fits the censored line better than 'Tara Sands', too.

I'm pretty sure the "free hugs" shirts and signs will be a thing of the past.

They've been a thing of the past in cons for the most part since 2012-ish, when they started getting all woke and freaking out about people taking pictures of cosplayers without permission. "Cosplay is not consent" "pedos are using pedobear cosplay to identify each other" and "free hugs are inappropriate and pressure people into hugs and gropes" all happened about the same time.

...for once I'm actually at a loss for words and witty quips. But at least he's being forthright in his doublecross, even though it's a fucking shit decision. He's like Schemmel in which my begrudging respect is admitted only because he's honest about being a piece of shit.

Still though..I wonder what tipped him over so hard.

Edit: For context I'm referring to the chap in the first screen shot and his sperg speech about switching sides to KV and wanting to simp for Monica and Marchi.

They also want anime conventions to be more "family friendly" while not acknowledging the massive amount of problems that come with that. Recently some anime cons started banning ahegao hoodies solely because of the "think of the children" angle. They can sell other items like dakimakuras, lewd doujins, and figurines of scantily clad anime girls; but cropped faces from hentai are too much? It's just a bunch of hypocrisy in order to please a small group of people.

Vic was never an issue in the anime convention scene as much as these people try to proclaim. The real creeps are either women who push things like yaoi onto minors or the moral crusaders who claim to really hate loli/shota while secretly consuming it (or going as far to prey on real kids). They're making it easier for the real predators to thrive and be protected in these communities because they think it's OK to falsely accuse innocent people of sexual harassment over things like hugs. It wouldn't surprise me if in a few years, anime conventions will be infamous for major amounts of degeneracy like some furry conventions are now. All because of their bullshit rules and restrictions.

Gretchen was Cassandra Morris. I helped Vic write his responses to the i09 article - the unredacted copy in still in my Google drive. I was also at Bak-Anime 2019. She was there. Vic was able to restrain himself from any tickle assaults this time, thankfully.
Well, that fucking sucks. One more for the disappointment pile.

Find any discussion about an anime convention, and you'll find at least one or two accounts of "some creepy photographer taking creepshots of teenage girls" and usually far more if it's bigger con. Some of it's probably made up shit like the Vic stuff but I'm pretty sure some of those photographers are legit sex offenders (and there's plenty of accounts of them trying to sleep with said teenage girls).

There's always some sketchy motherfuckers at those cons and Vic is the least of their problems.

Also if they were really thinking of the children, they'd be turning away (male) crossdressers, who are just harmlessly having fun cosplaying as a favorite character/waifu of theirs even though it's weird to see. They're not even transpeople cosplaying as the Sailor Scouts or Ryuko Matoi or whoever, therefore in these crazed people's heads, they're appropriating transpeople.

But nah, that's never once crossed their minds.

I have heard about guys who take pictures with female cosplayers and attempt to grope them, so I agree there are some creepy fucks that hang around these cons. I have seen some fujos proudly saying that they want to stalk gay men or groom other teenage boys into playing out their yaoi fantasies (or if there aren't any boys around they get lesbian girls to crossdress into doing it). Finding out that there are a lot of creepy women in anime communities did surprise me many years ago, but of course they get a pass because they usually maintain a cutesy persona or they're solely into yaoi which isn't considered as "problematic" as hentai.

I've seen guys like this show up lately to cons and no one seems to cause a fuss when they strut around half-naked sometimes. So I do get a little confused when these con organizers want to make these events more family friendly.
