Found out there are planned protests that start today, they started last night actually, in my mother in laws city. This city is in the middle of nowhere, a medium urban sprawl with minimal crime all around. It's a tourist type of town but apparently some cop did a cop thing back a few months ago and now it's finally coming to the light of day so 'protestors' are already descending on the downtown area. MIL was eating diner last night downtown and she saw scores of white folk in all black heading to the water where the protest is planned, her office building is closed again for safety as the national guard is being called in to 'contain the protests'. If it's anything like I pictured when I visited I fully expect the NG and cops to put these people down and haul them to jail in the most brutal fashion possible. There is too much history downtown and that would cost unholy amounts of $$$ to repair.

I think she's heading down there at a friends house with a condo view to see, she likes drama like me, so I hope I get pictures. No live stream this woman is in her 70s and we are barely lucky she knows how to use the Internets and take photos to send us via sms.
