As for HPD, according to an article I read, summarizing his scandals and his episode on trisha paytas' podcast, he says his fans love it when he's manic, when he's sobbing, when he's anything crazy. He blames junk food for making him emotionally unbalanced, and feels like when he's feeling something, good or bad, it's a good time to grab the camera and film, because his fans like to see him in some dramatic disorder.

I think that hints at him faking the HPD. He probably has mental shit like most of humans, but I think his antics are complete bullshit

If he has HPD that'll force hin to seek psychiatric help. If he doesn't that'll force him to seek creative help. Either way it puts a stop to this bullshit. I have heard this same thing from preschool and kindergarten teachers regarding adopted children who spent time in eastern european orphanages. They spent formative years essentially fighting a pack of other kids for food and comfort, and when they get to usa kindergarten they retain that survival instinct and end up being insanely difficult to deal with. I can see this background contributing to Niko's food obsession/addiction.

I went to school with two kids that had been adopted from Moscow. They had both been adopted when they were around eight months old, but one had been adopted three years before the other. The younger one was okay, an annoying kid but nothing out of the reality of annoying young kids that watch too much TV, but the older one was a nightmare.

He was the most difficult brat I ever met, and not even one of those brats that try to stay kids for longer than necessary: he was the kind of snobby brat that asked you for a pen and insulted you when you handed him a Bic because he would write only with Montblancs. It was like having a grumpy, asshole grandpa who never fought in the war but for some reason wanted the credit.

Nick being adopted makes a lot of sense.
