I still think they'll get a conviction. All the DA has to do is let the defense pick the jury they want. There will be so much pressure on the jury and enough implied threats of riots, looting, and maybe even their family being targeted if they vote the "wrong" way that it will be a quick verdict. Even if they think he is innocent, I bet they'll throw him under the bus for the greater good and also because they know they won't get their moment in the spotlight if they are the ones letting him go free.

Only a matter of time before some cop gets hit by one rock too many and just opens fire into the crowd. The risk grows with every day and every minute.
This is like steam pressure building up inside a sealed vessel. Cops are endlessly getting attacked, stores are looted, only a matter of time until people get robbed in their homes and the first to shoot in self defense will be lynched in the street in a giant bonfire or strung up on a lamppost - and in either case, you'll have half-naked baboons dance in the eerie twilight of the destruction they have wrought. The longer this goes, the more horrifying shit will be on both sides. Cops will get twitchy with every report of suffering civilians, robbed, beaten or worse by an angry mod. Protesters will become twitchy with reports of police brutality (imaginary or otherwise).
Either this shit is resolved quickly and decisively or it will boil over and what happens then will make everything up to that point look like a walk in the park...
Frankly, I am wondering if Trump can use some emergency law to send in the National Guard and pluck every motherfucker off the streets that looks at them funny and have them prosecuted without any state prosecutor having the authority to release them on a whim, like what supposedly happened in St. Louis.
God, looking at all this destruction, I almost hope that the Chink-Stink will come back with a vengeance to fuck over all rioters.
Or am I just turning into a Doomer (or whatever that newfangled term is)? Is there any chance this will just run out of steam on its own without escalating?
