Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

It's even more puzzling why a newspaper would publish the spit-encrusted rantings of a re,tarded dickless faggot.

If anything John hates Goldstein and blames him for distracting attention from him. That and he's probably an anti-Semite too. I bet the moment he found out the guy was also in the race he started muttering darkly about dirty kikes.

Goldstein is also competition for the penis (as John once put it), so that's another reason that Wu won't endorse him.

I think it's simpler and even more self-centered than that. John didn't dare bring attention to Goldstein because it would only have been a matter of time before some outlet, either unwittingly or mischievously, celebrated that two transgendered people were challenging Lynch. Game over, True And Honest Woman!

Of all the many mysteries surrounding John, why he is so adamant about pretending he's a natal woman is maybe the most baffling.

Because it's admitting that he was born a rich white man and not the poor black girl he weaves falsehoods about. It opens the door to the truth that he's not some programming girl genius who came from nothing, was better at everything than all the other girls, and single-handedly prevented the Challenger explosion at Space Camp. It also proves everything we said about John was right, and he'd rather groom his dogs than ever admit that the Farms were right.

Thousands of them have been donated to brave, transgender doctors on the front lines of the Covid crisis. Sadly, they all suffocated before realizing that Engineer John's solid, impermeable plastic masks exceed N95 standards and block the passage of oxygen molecules.
Nonsense. Due to the drastic quality control measures taken by Engineer Wu during the 3D printing process, 59% of the masks did not have that result when used by the brave transgender Covid task force.

That's what makes it so funny when some innocent (or possibly not so innocent) media outlet outs him, yet again, as a tranny. I was particularly amused when the Washington Post, of all places, contemptuously "corrected" their article to say that he "identifies as a woman" rather than just taking out the part where they outed him.

Introverts won't but the blacks might.

That guy isn't an introvert, but a cunt. Just quit inviting him to things. And call him a cunt should you be unfortunate enough to interact with him at all.

I think Dr. Robert Goldstein is gay, not trans. If John were to even mention Goldstein's name with just a whiff of his usual bile, Robbie might suggest that John drop by the Goldstein Tranny Health Center at Mass General for a check-up from the neck up. I can't imagine anyone John would fear and avoid more than a respected medical doctor who specializes in trannies. Engaging with him even tangentially could be a disaster for John.

I think that's my main disappointment with the campaign.

That there were people in the establishment ready to drop the hammer on Wu if he ever came even remotely close to become a legitimate candidate.

That if he'd just gotten off his ass to show up to a few events, we could have had a wonderful media shitfight.

But he's so fucking dumb and lazy that he just wasn't worth thinking about . Such a wasted opportunity for entertainment.

That or he knew if he ever did anything to make himself a real "canidate" his tranny ass would be lit up so fast he could kiss any deniability of being John Walker Flynt goodbye.

I'm of the opinion "little of Column A, little of Column B". If R60 was any indication, he'll half ass by default, and will only put forth effort if immediate reward of some sort is possible, but even that only goes so far, he was quite content to leave the PC port in the lurch until Frank had a lightbulb moment of actual good sense and decided to finish the job for John.

The politician LARP was similar. He didn't care about the work, he wanted the clout, and as we saw, anything beyond the weakest of softballs scared the crap out of him because anything he didn't not know the entire script to in advance he was terrified to get near. Once the diminishing returns from the LARP became so obvious as to make even him realize he needed a new grift, it got mothballed.

There's just the small problem of the game being literally unwinnable* because they fucked up the only QTE in the entire game that instantly kills you if you fail and is mandatory in the last boss battle. So not even that job was truly finished, because after the PC port came out Frank dropped it like a hot potato and Wu never gave much of a shit after the game first released because she could already be called a "game developer" at that point. So Revolution 60 remains broken to this day.

Which makes it so the name of this trailer aged like a fine wine. :story:

This is completely unrelated from the rest of the thread right now but while looking for that trailer I found out that a brazilian website reviewed the game back in 2014 and gave it 8.2/10 for reasons I cannot fathom.

I'll spoiler it because it's kinda big, but here's the translated unbiased review if anyone wants a blast from the past.

An adventure with original story, dynamic controls and many alternative endings.

Revolution 60 is an action adventure game starring a group of skilled heroines with strong personalities. It brings a story rich with well crafted dialogues, extremely original playability and visuals created with three dimensional animations made on the Unreal Engine. Check out the analysis of the game:

Mixing dynamic commands, and extremely adapted to touchscreens, with RPG elements and a tactical combat dynamic, the game presents a science fiction drama with many developing plots. They are determined by the player's performance and choices.
Combinando comandos dinâmicos, e extremamente adaptados ao touchscre
Developed by Giant Spacekat, an independent company with teams formed exclusively by women, Revolution 60 took three years to be produced, but brought an immersive universe that will likely bring sequels.

According to Brianna Wu, chief developer at the company, "There is a large gap in the market at the moment. Gamers are wanting narratives. And the technology is advanced enough for us to deliver. When I think about the most emotional experiences I had while playing, they always had to do with the character and the story."

One mission, many alternative endings

With an involving plot that mixes science fiction with spy thrills, Revolution 60 happens on a possible future, in which nanotechnology has developed further and the United States and China compete for global hegemony in a new Cold War.

The four special agents that star in the game are members of an organization known as Chessboard, and they have the challenging quest of reaching the north american space station N313, find out why it's adrift and reestablish contact with the base.

Developing its story with from the point of view of the assassin Holiday, the game also put the player in charge of coordinating movements and attitudes of the squad's leader Minuete, the aerospatial engineer Amelia and the pilot Val, who gets heavily hurt when the game begins.

However, in Revolution 60 the plot is heavily affected by the choices made. From the delivery of clues found by Holiday, to the dialogue choices and performances of activities done by the other protagonists.

Though the game has certain linearity at points, the developer Giant Spacekat reveals that there are more than twenty four different endings. They are determined by the evolution of the relationship between the characters as a dangerous and mysterious antagonist reveals herself.

A game with quality graphics and sounds.

With graphics completely structured by the Unreal Engine, Revolution 60 develops from a perspective that reminds of a movie. What makes the experience of its rounds a mix of tactical combats and scientific fiction thrillers with interactive animations.

With immersive and very original settings, Giant Spacekat managed to build a game with a very uncommon visual. The well crafted graphic models and ambient present an appearance that mixes characteristics of the noir and 60s styles.

The characters of Revolution 60 have an aspect that reminds a little of animes. But the extensive repertoire of dialogue choices gives a strong credibility to their personalities, highlighting even more Holiday's choices made by the player.

With close to no male characters, Revolution 60 brings athletic heroines that distinguish themselves through aspects that reminds of mangas and japanese animes. However, the biggest peculiarity in the game is on the dialogues between the protagonists, that are well built and dubbed with perfection.

Voiced by a team of voice actresses known for animations and famous games, the game put emphasis on the evolution of the relationship between the squad of spies, developing the playtime with very immersive perspectives.

Furthermore, the game also has a modern and upbeat soundtrack that mixes very will with it's repertoire of sound effects. It characterizes well the many combats of Holiday and the challenging interactive activities of the characters.

Interactive commands and tactical combats.

Bringing back the dynamic of old adventure games, Revolution 60 places its player on mechanics different from the modern games of the genre. It focuses more on the story and characterization of its characters, but also with new things that make its playability more exciting and avant-garde.

Like Mass Effect and Dragon Age, the game has an interactive dialogue system in which the choices of responses influences the morality of its characters, directly affecting the relationship between them and the flow of the story.

The exploration of the setting in Revolution 60, in some moments, also follows this system of choices. This allows the player to freely control the camera while the characters walk and talk, allowing for medical kits and clues to be found within the setting.

The controls of the game vary between the different interactive commands on the screen, requesting agility and good reflexes to accompany them, rewarding the player with Competency Points that also influence the plot's development.

With many fights against different enemies, Revolution 60 will frequently place the player in a tactical combat dynamic, in which Holiday will be coordinated in a chessboard dynamic, in which you need to attack enemies and avoid their many shots and hits.

The mechanics of the combats is determined by time markers, to activate the character's attacks and abilities, while the placement on the board influences the shots with the pistol or hits with the bayonet . However, as the game progresses, the fights may become repetitive.

Furthermore, Holiday has an energy bar that can activate powerful combos, that also develop through screen interactions. At the end of the battles, the character will receive Experience Points, allowing the unlocking and upgrading of her defensive and offensive abilities.

Conclusion

Revolution 60 is an action adventure game with a creative and exciting story, that develops its playthroughs through the highest quality animations and an interesting mixture between different playability dynamics. With a rich plot that can develop in many ways, the game mixes a sequence of great dialogues between its characters, voiced by an excellent team of professionals, with many interactive activities and tactical combats, that are fun and become progressively more challenging.

As a non gamer person, I have to ask: was R60 meant to be a retro looking throwback? The graphics are maybe two generations removed from that old Dire Straits video that people oohed and ahhed over in 1985 and yet it was released in 2014.

She was called out on it on Twitter once in what was arguably a false flag. Someone told her her graphics looked like they were from the PlayStation era, and she did a Twitter spree of how she’s a Godzilla of tech expert in Unreal which moments later was published on some internet rag as a full blown article.

srry if this has been asked recently : Is the whole crawling up journalist's butts and eating their shit from the inside out a set up for the next career move (back?) to journalism?? Is that the next great career

Of course, I mean journalism in the same way He was a politician or an engineer.
string together his normal tweets, shove it on a 'progressive news' website and maybe get a byline with nathan Grayson.
I'm not going to say John is ddep thinking enough to plan the trajectory, I think it's just failing into the gravity well, but he has been circling that drain actually TRYING to go down it for years now hasn't he?

It was supposed to be an "AAA title for mobile". That's why they sank a fortune into Unreal licenses, they were aiming for what at the time was a relatively untapped market sector when the mobile gaming market was red-hot.

As you know, things ended up... differently.

Wu's Wikipedia page has yet to be updated to show that he's no longer running in his second attempt.

I hope someone does it soon, and remembers to cite Vice FR as a source.
