I think there's a place for deaconesses. They're attested historically and can still fill an important role. But the experiments of the 20th century strongly suggest that women should not be bishops. That's hard for me to admit because I'm strongly egalitarian and cognizant of the important roles held by women in the 1st century of the Church. But I think I read somewhere "by their fruits you shall know them," and I see a church that has recently embraced abortion, homosexual marriage, and transgenderism. Of course, this couldn't have happened without the participation of the whole church, bishops and deputies, so maybe this is an effect and not a cause. We should have never let women take positions outside of a nunnery. Every time they are more interested in attention than being a pastor.
