She may be shrugging it off, or she may just be resigned to the inevitable at this point. She's known Chantal way longer than we have, and I'm sure she also knows that trying to exert any kind of positive influence on Chantal's behavior would be futile.

I'm pretty sure her mom's been trying to get rid of the bad child for years.
All jokes aside, Chantal did admit herself that she was an awful kid. There's a specific video where she talks about how she was sent to a camp or something for threatening her mom with suicide from an overdose(?) (Someone who knows the specific story please correct me)
Anyways, yes Chantal is a blight on her immediate family's life and If I were related to her I'd also feel embarrassed.

Notice how dark and harsh the line is along her jawline. That my friends is the results of pushing up 3 chins with the liquify tool in Photoshop (or any other app that allows you to edit your picture).
She will cost less dead than alive, and with a little luck mom has an insurance on her. All the money spent towards her daughter to enable her shitty behaviors will come back to her when Chantal croaks.
Also, I'm glad to see we can always count on good boï Baxter (Buster?) to judge the behemoth.

Now when i see a picture of a house that actually looks like a pleasant place to live in instead of a pigsty, i immediately know that it is not her luxurious villa. As much as we can blame Chantal's mom and grandma for having raised her into the spoiled brat she is today, something like this show that so much of her awfulness truly comes from her and her alone.

Every fuckin' selfie of Chantal is photoshopped. Even in the new nude summer dress the lines of the walls are warped. It's unfortunate that Chantal is such a nasty person, weight issues aside. She has some potentially pleasant features drowning in the dough of her body. Unfortunately its not just a case of if you lost weight, you'd be so much prettier, because shes even nastier on the inside. She's Regina George meets the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man.
That wasn't very nice. Ah well.
