I have a hard time imagining the amount of energy these people invest in their daily/weekly dramatic flounces onto their social media soapboxes of choice, breathlessly declaring in no uncertain terms that anyone who doesn't share their exact opinion on the Very Important Issue of the moment needs to unfriend/unfollow/take themselves out with the rest of the trash. Trump railing at Mattis will have the same result as Trump saying anything:

1. The people who like Trump will spin it as a 4D chess or him being a strong leader.
2. The people who hate Trump will spin it as him being Literally Hitler.

There are very few people in America who even knew about Mattis at all before his appointment who didn't already have a strong opinion of Trump back then. This is not really going to change anything, vote-wise.

Seemed like a lot of people in the army liked the idea of Mattis and so goes to follow they may have gotten annoyed over his ousting. It only matters when black people are killed by white people. If companies cared about police brutality then all reports of police brutality would have equal light instead of some reports being buried/memory holed while others get the protests that seem to almost always become destructive riots.
